People who say they don't want retreads are stupid. 80% of available coaches in a given coaching cycle are retreads, that's how this league works. You get hired as an OC, doesnt work out, get fired, get another OC gig, maybe it works, you get a HC gig, doesn't work, back to OC, maybe you're good after all, another HC gig, etc etc. The same thing happens for dudes coming up from college

Okay guys, let's do a venn diagram!

All the people who have extensive play-calling experience but have never been an offensive coordinator raise your hands!!!

These fans are a bunch of ingrates. Someone said fans here treat players like royalty. Thats bs.

No, No, No...they treat them poorly while they are playing..when they are done..they are glorified, Mike Schmidt was probably the biggest example of this. It happens in every sport here as well, Unfortunately

I'm old enough to remember fans turning on Bernie Parent.. til he was forced to quit with the eye injury. Really any Flyer goalie gets crucified, I always say Pelle got off easy because he died as well as

Jerome Brown.

I also forgot about Kafka. Eww.

Why are you out on Kafka? I actually think it could be a decent hire

Isn't this the same guy last week that tweeted Sirianni not leading the search, but then turned around quickly and made it seem like Nick is the lead with Lurie, Howie and Julian involved? Then now ends this tweet reiterating that Sirianni is leading the search with Lurie having final say?

Jesus no wonder guys aren't lined up to come here and interview, dancing around the Sirianni BS just to make him feel good and included........should've just fired the dude and dealt with the scrutiny.

He got stripped of playcalling a few times, players called out for his play calls in the red zone.

Bills gonna hold up our process

I hadnt heard of the RZ issues. It would be classic to fix our offense between the 20s then struggle at the one thing they did well in 2025.

I don't put a ton of stock in the playcalling thing due to the circumstances (Daboll was fighting for his job and eventually gave those duties back to Kafka). But I get it.

I like the fact that he was a journeyman and got exposed to a lot of different coaches and organizations, a former QB and was a QB coach.

I think that is a perspective that was sorely missing from last year's coaching staff. Loeffler seemed to do OK in his limited role, but I'd like to have some bonafide NFL QB coaching prowess.

Figure the entire HC process is going to be an obstacle - we’re hoping to land a quasi-HC/OC and those guys would be looking at our OC job as a fallback.

You mean the Daboll who benched him?

Surprising Daboll had the power to do that over the protest from Saban

Wrong game

True. My bad.

Gimme Weiss Jr with Chambliss.

I read that Chambliss is suing the NCAA for an additional year of eligibility, as he spent 4yrs at D2 before arriving at Ole Miss this past season... he'd get more through NIL in one year than his entire rookie contract (I'm assuming he's a Day 2/3 pick).

I actually think if they don’t get one of their top options, they should go with Weiss jr.

He has playcalling experience and seems to have a handle on Xs and Os... so maybe Siri steps up on the management front to make up for that experience deficit (and he likely would have more say with the rest of the offensive staff, as how many qualified guys could Weis have in pocket at this stage in his career). Boom-bust decision... you'd figure that natural progression would be QB coach at next level first.

The Bills have a big list. I doubt Brady gets that job. Who knows with AZ which might be the worst job out there and not attract anyone

The Browns hiring a Johnny Manziel clone would be funny

Yeah as of right now, they denied the extra year of eligibility

If we're being honest and I know many of you go way back like I do then philly has never been a destination for coaches. Fangio wanted to come back because he's local but other than that I can't really remember a coach with multiple options choosing philly except Chip and the competition was Cleveland.

Pushing hard sounds he’s their top target. If they lose out on him to the Titans that would be another black eye. Can’t keep racking up the L’s they need a good offseason to get back on track.

I saw that 'pushing hard' sounds like journalistic license. They interviewed him at least. Did they make him an offer? I'm not saying this is working out like the Eagles wanted. Their coaching searches rarely do but I also don't believe the media either

Allen, Ward, or Hurts lol

I think the issue is if you make them the quarterback coach is you have to pay him more than what he’s gonna make at LSU to get him to leave the OC job there. Maybe Lurie does that because he’s been willing to spend the money. However, if it’s equal money or less, I think he’s just gonna go back and be the OC at LSU.

Imo if you hire Weiss i kind of think it’s an all or nothing with OC job. Just hoping he is the next type of up and coming star. If i had to bet on who it is i think its daboll if he doesn’t get that bills HC job.

Which team will give an OC the biggest shine on their CV? No perfect option, but the Eagles have the oven ready roster to shine up a CV (but other issues); the Titans, not so much. The Bills have a personnel issue. If an OC wants to be a HC, then the Eagles job is probably the quickest way to get there.

Can’t stand her. She’s been trading AJ for 2 years now. Shes also claiming it’s an unattractive job as well. She’s a loser

This has become increasingly harder with the lack of development in college and kids bouncing around everywhere year to year. QB isn’t really a development position IMO. Ya you can stash a 3rd string and ‘develop’ him…but it’s more of a what have you done for me lately. Refining is more what you’re looking for these days, and it’s even more hit or miss than previously IMO. Look at the Packers…home run with the Rodger’s pick, then huge swing and a miss with Love.

So draft a guy and don't develop him? Not going for that

Yeah, he wants to coach a real QB. Shame

Yeah makes sense. Steichen and Moore couldn't win st all with Herbert, not even a playoff game. But went to Super Bowls with Hurts and got HC jobs out of it.

McDaniels to the chargers?
