Interesting EJ deleted his prior tweet and took out "lengthy interview" and replaced it with just "interviewed"

Howie/Lurie: We'd love to have an interview with you

I think the Eagles having an offensive head coach who may or may not have input in the offensive system and may or may not be belligerent and probably unpopular around the league because he jaws at other teams fans may have something to do with it.

No offense, I don’t think the fans have anything to do with offensive coordinators wanting to come here. If that were the case players would not also wanna come here because fans are hard on the players. That’s not been a problem.

My thing is this the Eagles can put out there that you’re gonna have total autonomy of the offense and sirianni‘s not going to have input on the offense. I think that narrative has come to play and I think people around the league don’t buy it. I brought up the stats. Yesterday were Kellen Moore in the one year he was here was completely the outlier in the pace of play/plays. I kind of think coordinators with more clout say I don’t have to deal with all that and I get a total autonomy with the Titans because Robert saleh is not gonna stop me from doing what I wanna do. I don’t think that’s the case here regardless of how much BS is put out by the eagles

I honestly don't know what it is. And neither does anyone else. Reality is guys make choices all the time and Eagles fans think the world is ending if the Eagles aren't the choice. McDaniel's wife is from CA and LA is much nice that Philly (no offense). Maybe that's it. Maybe it was Herbet. Maybe Harbaugh. Who knows? He made a choice.

Yeah our fanbase isn't miserable. We literally are still the defending champs and this is what you get. It's embarrasing

I remember Chris Long was talking a couple years about how the NE team culturally was no fun and all business (but historically awesome), and coming to Doug's Eagles was a great change-up. Well, maybe the Siri's Eagles have gotten to that point where the expectations have drained out the enthusiasm (at least offensively).

Went to SB because of Howie, the OL, two top WR, and Vic last year.

So what you are saying is if the Oline is one of the worst in the league, and the offensive scheme likewise and the defense isn't as good as it was the previous season then it's tough to win a SB?

Fans booing isn't the issue, harassing the OC at his house and bullying his kids at school damn sure might be.

If you don't think potential OC's wives aren't talking about that then you're delusional

Eff it. I’m in.

Lizard Lick isn't even a town. It's a crossroads in Wake County. It used to be mostly tobacco fields but it's more subdivisions now.

I think people got themselves way too hyped up about McDaniel. I liked him. I would’ve liked to have them as the OC. But there’s flaws in his system and his offense was significantly worse when playing better teams.

The thing with McDaniel was he was the most coveted OC in the market. So he had his choice of going anywhere he wanted when he interviewed. I think there’s multiple things going on with the Eagles. first, I don’t think whoever gets hired actually has total autonomy. I think that’s a the eagles getting out in front of something and trying to poo poo it when in reality that’s not gonna be the case. Secondly when you have AJ Brown potentially being traded and Dallas goedert leaving you are losing two keys to the offense. Third there’s a chance if things don’t go well in 2026 that Jeffrey Lurie is just firing everybody besides Vic and stoutland.

It's funny the Eagles are so secretive about this stuff yet still have terrible leaks and generally don't get the top guys anyway

Delusional

Baker in that offense likely is putting up 5k

All very possible. It's a hornet's nest right now. I think it's on Nick to find someone and make it work because if the O is bad next year he'll be gone and Lurie will try to hire an O wunderkind imo

This needed to be considered by Howie and Lurie right after the WC loss.......make a decision and stick to it, but trust that decision and what scrutiny comes with it. But to choose to keep Sirianni because of his success and how that would send the media into a frenzy if fired, is just inexcusable. Maybe the players vouch for Sirianni more then we think? There was no evaluation process for Sirianni by Howie and Lurie after the WC game.

The whole egging the house thing is a bit unfair to pin on Eagles fans as a whole. Everyone in the media/radio/etc said it was gross, uncalled for and condemned any type of action that goes beyond booing at a game. It was some dumb young kids who made a poor decision. It's like blaming Eagles fans as a whole for throwing snowballs at Santa.

49ers keep crushing it with their accumulation of 3rd round picks if the Falcons hire him.

Oh man, can they do it again?

ok - fine. Off topic. Say Nick got fired.... do we think McDaniel wouldve come here as a head coach ?

No I didn't reshuffle the timeline. That was you.

Reshuffle what timeline? Best I can figure you're saying that Howie and Siri thought Jalen was good enough in 2023 when they gave him the extension but know he isn't now, and now Siri and Howie think they might get canned if they tell Lurie they handed Jalen a big extension 2 years ago but now don't rate him. Thing is Sirianni will inevitably get canned anyway for running an offense that he knows is limited by the QB?

None of us knows what goes into these decisions.

For example, wife is told choice is Philly or SD, where would you want to live the next few years with a $1M a year?

Given the quality of OCs we've been able to hire the last few years (KP was probably due to SB, by the time they started shopping, pickings were slim) doubt people think this is a bad opportunity.

Pics of your wife or you don't have one

I know people don’t wanna hear this, but it’s a much harder sell for this offense going into 2026 offseason then previous years. The offensive line did not play as well. So you’re hoping that they can bounce back. You also potentially are losing AJ Brown to a trade and goedert to free agency. Those are two key weapons that are potentially gone. You also have to construct an offense that fits Jalen hurts. Then the whole thing of lurie potentially blowing it up after 2026.

I think there’s a lot of factors but the Eagles job in general. It’s still an attractive job, but there’s a chance you take the job Brown’s gone, goedert is gone, less talented offense and some other factors. It’s a harder sell with those question marks in place.
