I agree with you, he should be the 2nd guy out and it can't happen soon enough.-No improvement from any of the WR.-Worst scramble drill group of WR in the NFL.-Terrible blocking on screens.-Very lazy route running on plays not designed for #1 target. You can argue that a lot of those things have to deal with individual players, but the problem is, there's no accountability from the coach. If a WR is half assing his route, pull him to teach a lesson. If he's not blocking on a play coming to his side, put in someone who will. Just once I want to see him in the face of the WR after another failed scramble to say HELP YOUR QB.Moorehead gotta go.There's so much meat on the bone for every offensive position coach, it's unfortunate that the offseason is so watered down. Nick might want to rethink the shortened practice structure, not so much that more hitting is required - but perhaps blackboard talk isn't getting the concepts through to the players and actually getting them farther away from mastering the fundamentals.

THAT is telling. We see it every Sunday and we're just fans. Think of what professional coaches and athletes think when they watch tape on the Eagles. It's not that hard do defend. The Eagles won the SB behind an all-time season from Saquon Barkley running behind what many could argue was one of the NFL's best OL ever put together. All of the pieces lined up. Even last year though, through all of the winning, through the 2K yards for Saquon, we knew the offensive philosophy was get as close to 3rd/4th and short as possible so we can Tush Push. Get as close to the GL as possible so we can Tush Push. We joke about it, but there were times they ran the play 2-3 times in a row. THAT was their plan.I don't remember who, but someone on one of the Eagles NBC shows said the offense is identical to last year, just they were better at it last year, because man for man they were better than the guy across from them.
Wednesday at 02:21 PM2 days Lurie should do for Nick (in an abbreviated fashion) what he did for Howie.Send him around to soak up as much as he can from people inside and outside of football. If they're not going to fire him, then develop him into the coach you want. If you want a CEO coach, make sure he has CEO skills.Set up meetings with Andy Reid, Pete Carrol, Mike Tomlin, John Harbaugh, or the Golden State Warriors, the Dodgers, hell maybe Jalen could broker a couple calls with Michael Jordan. You can learn something from everyone, good or bad. And it doesn't need to have anything to do with Xs and Os

We saw this offense move the ball and look professional at times. If the plays were sequenced better they'd have gotten better results in the same system. That said I'm in total agreement that it's time for a new system altogether

All winning would have done is take us out of the running for a top candidate.

Before the Super Bowl, we had discussions on the blog about the 2025 season. one of the things that was said by me was you can’t come back in 2025 just trying to be the 2024 Eagles. trying to replicate what they did wouldn’t work and you’d ultimately fail to be that team. It’s a different team even if the names on the back of the jersey are mostly similar. you are supposed to evolve from that. Not try to replicate something that is very hard to replicate which was historic run running game, number one defense and highly efficient pass off offense. That is a very, very, very hard recipe to accomplish those feats. You had to evolve and have this team be its own identity as the nfl had an entire offseason to figure you out and counter you. frankly, I don’t think the offense ever found their identity cause they were trying to trade chase the dragon of 2024. It’s like that South Park, where Randy is playing the video game and he’s trying to catch a dragon. he can never catch the dragon. You were never going to be that for multiple different reasons.
Wednesday at 02:48 PM2 days I wouldn’t support keeping Patullo on in any form — and I doubt any OC candidate worth a darn would either — but him running to Fitzpatrick to say it wasn’t his fault and he deserves credit for the red zone should immediately eliminate him from consideration. It’s hard to envision him being a good soldier under a new OC.

It also goes to show that a playsheet is only so good if the playcaller doesn’t know how to sequence plays.

Goes back to my whole "what's the point of having him?"Unfortunately, money plays a role. Trading Brown or Hurts is not feasible this off season and maybe next. Firing Nick now will cost a lot of money. And they likely would have to pay him until he gets another job. He wouldn't get a HC position nor the HC salary. Time may come but this off season it's just too much $$ for the team to do this kind of thing.

If Fitz and I were buddies and I was venting about my job to him in private a then he podcast partner said it on their podcast I’d be pretty pissed. Ha It doesn’t make Patullo look good so I’m not sure he wanted that out there.

But outside of a couple games Lamar was never really close to What he normally has been the past few years. First gam of the year and last game of the year was the closest you really saw from him most of the season. But they had some other issues with that offense. Like go to the New England game where there were up double digits in the fourth quarter. Henry is absolutely killing them. And then the ravens give him one carry the rest of the game. FeltLike their offense was just off all year. I still think it goes back to Lamar. when Lamar played, they never really maximized him all year consistently. And I think the ravens wanted to move on from that. But then again once they fired harbaugh, he was out anyways.
