People would hate Monken here. This is the guy who inexplicably refused to use Derrick Henry and instead had Lamar Jackson throwing 30 passes per game as they got bounced by less talented teams every year.

And Daboll either couldn't coach the RB out of Jaxon Dart or simply decided not to in an attempt to save his own job. And on top of that he's a hot head, he wouldn't fit here at all.

To be fair, the Ravens have had their seasons end recently because Andrews dropped a two-point conversion that would have won the game and Zay Flowers fumbled at the goal line that would have given them the lead late against KC.

Lamar was MVP and MVP runner up with Monken prior to 2025. And last year they lost in Buffalo in the 2nd round and scored 25 after scoring 28 against Steelers

IMO the "Patullo might stay in some lesser role" talk is merely agents trying to save face. It makes no sense at all to retain him in any capacity.

And frankly, if Patullo was even willing to take a demotion that would make me wonder if he has the confidence to do any job we could offer him

There will be more coming in the next week or two once HC's start taking jobs. There aren't many current DC only openings.

But also there were some rumblings Parker may want to stay if he thinks he's the heir apparent to Fangio.

That's true but he's also thought highly of by Vic Fangio. While he may or may not be a good DC, his departure would likely hurt this team

True enough but I think you're looking at results over process there.

For example, that Mark Andrews dropped 2 pt conversion: that game was in Buffalo and Henry had 16 carries all game.

You could easily replicate that Baltimore offense by simply adding a FB, drafting a couple of TE's, and going run heavy with Hurts, Saquon, and Tank. I realize people expect Monken to just go with Harbaugh but he is already interviewing in Tampa for their OC job away from Harbaugh so it appears he is a possibility. Bring him in and give him full autonomy over the offense like Vic has with the defense and tell Nick to be a good cheerleader and best buddy to all of the players. So yeah I am officially endorsing Monken as my number one choice.

I'm getting more and more on board with the Monken idea.

If he becomes the OC, I'd bet Isaiah Likely becomes FA target #1. I could even see them double dipping and bringing in Charlie Kolar too. The Eagles have 0 TE under contract. Not counting Latu or EJ Jenkins. TE was a strength for the Ravens. Bring them both in.
