I'd be happy if the 1st and 2nd picks were Oline

Next time don't extend players on Oline with injury history

Hurts isn't really the battering ram though. That's really the center lol but I get your point

I was hoping they'd do it with more sneaks. They barely did that. There's a bunch of different things they could have done but didn't

It's just needless to just taking chances like that in running him into a pile of 300 pounders. And the play has been countered successfully this year. So they really need some novelty there going forward.

Am I reading that correctly that we would rip out Siriannis offense and replace it?

If you have practically neutered the HC, don’t want to use his offensive philosophy anymore. Why is he still here? What good is it to demote his best friend? From some of the reports that came out, KP has been deferring blame and accountability. Why would we want to keep that type of mentality on the staff. What is Howie and Lurie doing? Cut the cancer out

He's only 27

Still doesn't change the fact he doesn't have that same speed or explosion. He seems to have lost two steps never mind 1. And he doesn't have the same quick instant get off he used to have that was a crucial important part of his game. It seems to take him a second or two to even get going and by then he usually get caught. If he lost that element that's not going to be good.

It doesn't matter who the OC/QB is if the OL is bad.

Jurgens/Dickerson get the entire off-season to rest. Dickerson will likely get a proper surgery this time. Jurgens' contract is very cuttable after 2026 (3M in cap savings), so he gets one more year. Dickerson's contract is also cuttable after 2026 if necessary.

As such, we should be using 2 of our top 3 picks on OL. I'd be using one on a G and one on a T to protect ourselves for 2027+.

After spending all the draft picks on defense from 2023-2025, it's time for picks on offense.

Seems like we have Kendall, Lampkin and even this kid Majors as center options if Jurgens struggles

I don’t want Patullo on this staff in any capacity. I think that offensive staff minus Stoutland needs a complete reboot. Moorhead needs to be gone as well. I think the new OC and the "personality manager” need to take a strong look at the rest of the staff

Hurts doesn't need to run designed plays anymore. He just needs to be able to buy time to avoid sacks and run for clutch 1st downs. Think he's fast enough to do that. The running for 1st downs happened in the first few games, but then dwindled down. Better play design should be able to help on that front where running lanes will be created for more opportunities.

But being able to get a few yards here and there for 1st downs should still be attainable. And a better blocking offensive line would help that cause too.

This is propaganda from coaches to make themselves look good, I'm convinced of it.

I think Hurts has strenghts and weaknesses but we've definitely seen him hit AJ on slants in the middle of the field and complete balls to Devonta and Goedert in the middle of the field. He can make all those throws. Preferences (which are assumed in media) aside he can do it

We’re back!

I was ok with Daboll then soured on him. I still think he's better than Patullo but not my top choice.

Wish Monken was there in place of Daboll(though ultimately I wouldn't hate Daboll) but I love McDaniel on there as #1.

Hello Dianna, this is Howie. Here's our OC list. Please tweet it out

McDaniel or Daboll works.

I've been going around to fan communities to see what other fans say about their coaches. It's often a better resource than the media, because the media will often shill for coaches, as we've seen with Sirianni and Patullo.

I started with Monken. Ravens fans say he's a good offensive mind and would be a good hire for teams, but his biggest weakness is he'll abandon what works inexplicably through games and won't stick with what works and it cost the Ravens in big games. And that he's not the best adjustment coach. But when it's clicking his offenses look great. Make of that what you will. I'll be moving on to other OC candidates next.

Has Daboll always been as unhinged as he was this year? He was a lunatic on the sidelines. Can the birds afford two such personalities? I think it would mean Big Dom is joined by his cousin Big Rocco.

It's not his job to throw flags, if the refs want to give him superstar treatment then that's the problem.

Also, I think this question was disingenuous and really was just a plant to make Philly fans sound like crybabies.

To be fair, fans were crying about it.

I wouldn’t support keeping Patullo on in any form — and I doubt any OC candidate worth a darn would either — but him running to Fitzpatrick to say it wasn’t his fault and he deserves credit for the red zone should immediately eliminate him from consideration. It’s hard to envision him being a good soldier under a new OC.

The red zone offense was very good this year (except that final drive when they needed it the most), but their problem was getting there. That's a big problem as I see it. Even if you don't get to the RZ often, just being able to get some first downs goes a long way to helping the defense. But 3 and out after 3 and out just wears them down too much.

That's a red flag. We already had that with KP and Nick

Not even the worst part of that play! Bourne committed an illegal shift pre-snap

I’d pass on Monken. I work with a Ravens fan and his biggest gripe would be that several times this year, Henry would be absolutely gashing teams on the ground and then all of a sudden wouldn’t see the field for huge stretches of the games. Sometimes entire 4th quarters. I remember once or twice he told me Henry failed to log a carry in the 4th quarter of close games.
