Cap hits for the 4 QBs that got their teams into the championship games:

Bo Nix: 4.2m

Drake Maye: 8.3m

Matthew Stafford: 48.2m (lost)

Sam Darnold: 14.4m

And another thing to note for Darnold...that was year 1. Which matters because they still haven't begun to meaningfully spend money on the position (that comes next year in his contract).

Teams used to win or lose in shootouts based almost entirely on who had the more perfect QB that could just keep it going.

The league has evolved off that spot and QB's are now overpaid.

So I'm not going to say that Jalen Hurts isn't good enough. I'm going to say that he's overpaid. If you cut his cap hit in half, we could keep the entire defense together and maybe even go out and add a piece. Right now, I'm not sure the NFL has any QBs dominant enough to have a sustained cap hit around 30-35m over 2 years that can actually beat more talented teams with QB's on rookie or journeyman deals.

I just refuse to believe that Mcvay or Mcdaniel so vastly superior compared to other less celebrated meatheads who are drawing up the same plays

People said this about Patullo for the first several weeks of the season. That he must not be completely incompetent for him to have built a coaching career and gotten to the point where he's the offensive coordinator for a defending Super Bowl champion. But then week after week, the plays we were seeing on tape started to prove otherwise, until eventually not even the most ardent of Hurts critics could defend Patullo any longer. It was past the point of obvious that he was in over his head and woefully unqualified for the job.

So to answer your question, yes, the spectrum of coaching talent really can be that broad. Yes, the good ones really are that much better than the bad ones. I feel like we of all fan bases should know this to be true after seeing the turn around on the defensive side of the ball from 2023 to 2024. Fangio really was so vastly superior to Desai and Patricia, and the same dynamic is true for offensive coaches.

They would have to wait two weeks just to interview anyone from the Pats or Seahawks. I would be surprised if they drag it out that long and risk losing out on everyone else.

They hired Kellen Moore on January 27th. So I'm guessing tomorrow we should have our guy.

The team that figures out how to flip QBs every 4-5 years is going to change the game. Get an older 8th year senior college QB on a rookie contract, have him manage the offense before he gets paid, flip him and repeat. That's the next way to go about things.

All he needed was a Pro Bowl QB to commit to the job.

The 1 out of 1,000 time I agree with him. Been saying this all year.

Greatest Playoff teams in Recent History

2025 Eagles +68 points in the playoffs

2017 Eagles +44 points in the playoffs

2016 Patriots +43 points in the playoffs

2019 Chiefs +42 points in the playoffs

2025 Seahawks? +41 points so far

2025 Rams +2, including +3 vs an 8-9 team, but WOW, the NARRATIVE!!!

That game last night was just like 49ers Cowboys in the early 90s except that the losing team is absolutely nothing special and will not win anything.

But the Rams are LA's team! They have to be awesome!

They ALMOST WON YESTERDAY, JUST LIKE THEY ALMOST BEAT THE EAGLES IN 2024!

Almost Won = Lost

I mean its just chess pieces on a little board, I'm sure I could take on a Grand Master. I think the horsey kinda runs hitches.

Wisniewski is like 6’4” 220, I wonder if he’d be a good coverage LB if he could add some weight.

Watching another guy saying today was a major breakout day for Wisconsin Edge Mason Reiger.

This seems to be a crazy good off ball LB draft. Kinda sucks we dont really need to look there this year. Though, I know people like Mondon here and even Trotter. But I bet if we select one in mid rounds it might end up being a better player.

Guy is also pointing out Edge Malachi Lawrence today too. Calling him "unfair".

OG Armaj Reed-Adams another name showing up in both videos. 34.5'' arms 6'5'' he has tackle build playing guard.

Darrell Jackson stands out. Hes gotten recognition this week.

No one has mentioned the Duke Edge. No one has mentioned the Clemson OT. Both standing out to me in these videos. Especially the OT.

Trevor on the draft exchange video noted the PSU OT and said hes been working with Duke Manyweather. You dont see him too much on these 1 on 1 videos though.

How much was Hurts making during his first SB?

$1.1 million

Now there’s a job no one wants.

Talked to a friend I have not spoken to in a long time and I remembered why... First of all he is a cowboys fan and not a cool one like @Joe Ball. The first words out if his mouth was he couldn't believe how good the cowboys were this year and they should be in the playoffs because this was the best team they have had in a long time 😂.

Then said Dak is the best QB in the league but has no one to throw to and told me not to say ceedee lamb because he is straight up garbage.

Then said the league is rigged and that's why the cowboys weren't in the playoffs and that's why the eagles sucked all year

@Joe Ball do you agree with this assessment? 🤣🤣

Possible no one wants the job. If they have a good DC in house with the respect of the team, maybe they figure they can give him the reins while they continuously audition upstart offensive coordinators. When one of them clicks, they transition him to HC.
