Is Joe Lombardi worth an interview?

Couldn’t hurt

Joe Lombardi is just Kevin Patullo with a more recognizable name. Everything we criticized Patullo for, other people have Lombardi.

Predictable, Vanilla concepts, focuses too much on horizontal passing and check downs, conservative, slow developing plays, defenses knew what was coming based on formation and personnel, doesn't change or adapt, doesn't maximize multiple QB's and skill players.

Just no.

Here's a comparison that should give all of us the heebeegeebees

It's kinda weird there has been absolutely nothing reported on the Dolphins DC interviews besides them interviewing Clint Hurtt for the job. Dolphins also just lost their secondary/PGC to the Jets. I think Hurtt would jump all over that job if offered too.

Unless they plan on keeping Anthony Weaver which would be kind of weird.

The true voice of reason.

Schefter's hint may simply be new position coaches that the new OC would want to hire.

Think they will end up just hiring Mannion or they'll continue on with interviews? There's a couple people out there they should be speaking to and if they don't it would be highly disappointing if they don't even bother.

I haven't heard of anyone else talking to Mannion, at least not yet. So they should have time to talk to Engstrand if they want, and Webb if the Broncos allow it.

"The Packers think he's a future HC. They love him. Tom Clements was the QB Yoda in Green Bay forever. One of the best QB coaches of the modern era. Mannion was the hand-picked successor. He hasn't been coaching long, that's the only thing. He's a really bright young coach."

High praise from Peter and many people across the NFL.

This must be what Shefty was referring to!

Chargers OC Mike McDaniel on taking responsibility off of Justin Herbert's plate: "There's a lot of incredible plays Justin has made. He's firmly capable and sometimes as a coach you can rely upon that a little too much."

"There's schematic ways to get completions that maybe all three quarterbacks on your roster would be capable of doing...It can be taxing over time for a player to necessitate an incredible play too often to be able to score points and win football games."

"So you try to take it off of him by creating some low cost, high reward offense that he's firmly capable of doing but maybe a player of lesser talent would be capable of doing as well."

Every quote I’ve heard from McDaniel re: offensive philosophy, the dude just gets it. Would’ve been massive had we pulled off hiring him.

Bills should reach out to Gym Shorts asap lol

Edit: I know he’s still under contract with Cleveland , but he says he’s done there. How does that work regarding coordinators ? Would the bills have to compensate Cleveland (ie. Denver/New orleans with Payton)

It’s not the 90’s anymore.

You do realize he coached the Raiders and they were constantly top 10 2018-2021 in offense with mediocre talent?

on facebook. not sure if true:

There are four reported Teams very interested in trading for Eagles, backup quarterback Tanner Mckee. Miami seems to be the lead candidate according to ESPN. Mckee still has one year remaining on his rookie contract.

None of those teams GMs want the lame ass tiny QB who is getting paid way too much money to not be able to read defenses and not run with the ball.
