His takes on the coaching staff have been something…

His shtick is so tired. He takes the contrarian angle on every Fing thing. He’s such an attention ****. Only a matter of time before he says his top OC candidate is to bring back Brian Johnson. And of course he said recently that Patullo shouldn’t be fired. It’s all he does.

By the way, as much as I am totally fine with Kingsbury as an option as it has been said he is an air raid guy which utilizes little pre-snap motion and fairly simplistic concepts- Its important to remember that Kellen Moore is also an air raid passing game guy and Hurts was stinking up the joint in his passing game.

Is that enough of a sample to say Hurts cant handle an air raid offense and instead aim for just the best offensive mind (McDaniel) instead of someone you think might be simplistic enough for Hurts to handle?

I like McDaniel(s) for ten guys on the offense, and KK for one.

I agree with the core of your point though, I really would like to figure out more of who's causing what. But in reality, I think they already know inside the building. But there's no real way for us fans to know, and honestly that's okay. All I need is for them to have a good idea, and more importantly to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Someone in there is being coddled, I don't know whether it's players or coaches, but it's time for it to stop.

I think what happens with McKee this offseason will tell us what they think. If he’s flipped for a draft pick then that will tell you they’re all in on Hurts and trust him with a competent OC. But if he stays and remains the backup, things will get interesting after 2026 when they have a realistic out on Hurts’ contract.

I mean if you want me to be entirely honest. Shanahan's not on the market, but he can probably work with a lot of QBs. Does that mean Mac Jones should be starting for most teams around the league right now, and everyone who can't work with him should be fired?

I know that's not at all what you said, but I'm more saying that just because someone can find a way to make an offense that can work with Hurts - there are certainly people who can - doesn't really mean someone else is at fault. It means there are people who are capable of compensating for said deficiencies with what they build. Patrick Chung worked out in New England, but not we remember how that went when he left.

Really, he can work with a lot of QBs? Couldn't manage his top 5 QB pick. He's been SF coach for 9 years with 4 losing seasons(3 seasons with 6 wins, 1 season with 4 wins and one winning season with 7 losses). He has only had a winning record with two QBs: Garoppolo and Purdy. He has a QB type for sure.

Again though, if Hurts struggled in Kellen Moore's passing game which borrows heavily from air raid concepts, how are we convinced that KK's passing game is actually the easiest and best fit for Hurts' (lacking) skills.

Im still thinking Ill be happy with Kingsbury, but this question came to me today and now I am not as sure.

Fun fact and a reminder that McDaniel qualifies as satisfying the Rooney Rule.

McKee doesn't have a ton of draft lick value after that clunker vs the Redskins. He is a cheap under contrqct backup though. Makes no sense to trade him when at best they wpuld inly get a 4th or 5th.

I will not be able to contain my boner thinking of him playing in a real offensive system with the new OC.

lol. This was the top comment under us hiring Moore.

Graduating with a degree in history from Yale should automatically disqualify someone from satisfying the Rooney Rule or from being eligible for draft pick compensation in the event of promotion.

As I said earlier, this is where I'm at as well (you and others convinced me, vs the OC that won't leave for a HC job).

The elephant in the room is the Hurts extension. 2026 is the last year he has guaranteed money. His agent probably wanted an extension this offseason but I doubt that happens. With all the defensive contracts coming up soon, it’s the year to figure out who you are moving forward with.

Yes and also white.

It’s honestly the only thing he has to cling on to. He’s not a beat reporter because he never reports anything not known. He’s not a journalist because he’s biased as F. He’s not even a writer because he doesn’t write anything.

Howie needs to make sure the O-line is back to a top 5 unit. Then we'll be contenders again.

Are we sure Jalen can succeed outside of a Sirianni offense? It’s been built this way for years for a reason (and worked when everything went right).

To answer your question, I think the KK offense is less demanding fundamentally and favors this QB’s skillset. That said, it’s supposed to be pass heavy and lean into QB mobility which might become obviously unworkable after say 4 weeks.

Biracial. San Fran got draft comp when Miami hired him.

They also got picks for different white guy.

nice work Siri. Everyday I grow more and more discouraged that he’s still employed

What is ya'll's read on this draft class? I have read it is not as deep as previous years, but I have also read just the opposite, particularly that it is a deeper draft defensively even into the middle rounds.

Saleh is Lebanese if that’s who you’re referring to. And they got picks for him too.

There is no question this offense has been developed for Hurts.

Just saying I dont know how we can say an air raid coach (Kingsbury) is the best option when Hurts already sucked at Moore's air raid concepts.
