But it's also very unambitious in terms of change. In any case it appears they are bringing the virtual guys in person so maybe the Mannion in person isn't as meaningful

This goes for OL/DL and WR/DB. These guys are almost never going to be on the island they are in these drills. However, when you see amazing technique like this...ooooh boy.Look at this arm extension. He's single arm pressing a 300lb man. Holy impressive.

Dolphins also just lost their secondary/PGC to the Jets. I think Hurtt would jump all over that job if offered too.Unless they plan on keeping Anthony Weaver which would be kind of weird.Heard Weaver may end up joining Minter
January 29Jan 29 I honestly think they want to speak to Thomas Brown at least as part of this process so this could drag on

As it is their odds of replacing the position coaches well go down each day. Also NE offense has scored a historic low in playoffs fwiw

You call that a punch? Never anchored because he was on tiptoe. Brutal. If he laid down maybe Jackson could have tripped over him.

January 29Jan 29 Regardless of who they hire, the messaging will be about their due diligence and that "The Eagles got their man."

It seems, though, Sirianni was really unable to fix things. I also wonder how much of it may have been due to Stoutland wanting Hurts to run.
January 29Jan 29 I really don't think this is a Lurie/Howie problem. Yeah they have egos and like to pull the strings behind the scenes, but there's a lot of that in the NFL. Those two happen to be very good at it...which there's not a lot of. And as goofy as Siriani is when he jaws with fans and opposing players...he actually has demonstrated a solid knack for professional interactions and conflict resolution when handling his own team. So I'm not buying him as the problem either. Lurie/Howie put it on a billboard that this job comes with full autonomy. So that's not it either. The job stability here...that is an issue. This is a win-now team that has had immense OC turnover. The possibility of cleaning house is on the horizon if they have a bad year. That hurts.Knowing that there is a reckoning in 1 year...if they thought they could get meaningfully more out of this personnel than Patullo, that's also an opportunity to be the hero and a slam-dunk HC in 2027. But I think the impression of the personnel on this offense is that these guys are concerned they will not reliably be able to turn it around.
January 29Jan 29 More evidence McDaniel was set on Chargers. I don’t think McDaniel and Daboll were indictments of eagles but the false reputation can become reality at some point with other candidates

Would be such an extreme pivot to what they were looking for. And would be an indicator that they got really desperate and tried to throw a dart at the next genius offensive mind before someone else snatched him up.It could just an easily be an indicator that they were simply that impressed with him.

They could have a top 10 type offense and still look to get rid of the OC. The HC will have no real loyalty to the OC especially if there are issues. The OC may get to choose some staff but there will be position coaches that may not agree with his approach. It's not like he's going into a pit of vipers but there are drawbacks.
January 29Jan 29 In my heart of hearts I want Sirianni and Patullo both gone.Now.Keeping either one will hurt us.

It’s very clear that he’s not a good HC, last time he was an OC was close to 40 years ago.AS HC he would still call the plays right? Pretty much blows up your 90's offense claims, and I'm not asking for him to be the HC so please try to stay on topic
