He may be absolutely all that and more. But any young coach signing up for an external promotion is going to get glowing reviews from his former coaches.

I know anyone could say this in February, but it sure beats the reports when Sirianni was hired of him having a "B football mind” or whatever it was

Surprised Brady LII isn't #1 with the way he killed our defense

Though I do remember that awesome superman throw that Mahomes made that should have been caught

Truth be told at one point I argued that Nagy wasn't that different from Daboll but I also thought Daboll was getting overrated here because of the known choices being slim

Kingsbury seems to be shut out as OC unless he goes to the Cardinals or Raiders.

Tolzien just backed out of Steelers job (or didn't get it) so McCarthy needs an OC but I don't see the fit. Same with Kubiak & LaFleur. No fit there.

Maybe he gets the Seahawks job. Not sure he's a fit with Darnold though.

Thanks. Terrific news. Just what the doctor ordered.

There's a ton of horrible stuff in those files but Tisch's messages, that have been released, seem relatively tame. Still, they should make the franchise rename themselves to the NJ Giants as punishment.

I'm not sure why people care. Society's always had uneven representation in certain professions. It's just how it goes. Some professions are dominated by women, some dominated by men, some largely black(like NFL and NBA players) some largely white, some largely Asian, etc. Unless discrimination can be proven, this should not be a concern. Not everything needs equal representation. Sometimes you gotta just let things shake out the way they do. The solution ends up being worse than the "problem" because you can't force teams to hire guys they don't want to hire unless you start trying to artificially force diversity which always ends up in disaster. Time for the NFL to just take the L on this one and stop obsessing about ethnicity.

I'd say you can get away with 20 as long as we are the last NFCE team to win one because it rubs their nose in it. Just don't be a cowgirls fan and wear them 30 years later. Some of them weren't even around the last time.

Good point.

That one still stings! Bad start for Howie in what was a bad offseason for him.

I don't get what's supposed to be so funny about hiring Matt Nagy as an OC. He got a head coaching job in CHI in 2018 and took over a team that was terrible on offense for years before he got there:

2014 -- 5-11, 23rd in points scored

2015 -- 6-10, 23rd in points scored

2016 -- 3-13, 28th in points scored

2017 -- 5-11, 29th in points scored

2018 -- 12-4, 9th in points scored

Trubisky was drafted the year before Nagy got there, so he was stuck with him at QB. Pace drafted Trubisky over Patrick Mahomes, then drafted Justin Fields when Trubisky was finally washed out. I'd be inclined to give the HC some slack when paired with a bad GM.

Both Reid and Mahomes seem to think highly of him; the Giants could have done a lot worse, IMO.

No, it's problematic in some areas, just not in the NFL I think. The problem with the goal of proving discrimination is that proving it is exponentially harder than being discriminated against. Once upon a time certain races were looked down upon for the majority of white collar work. That's no longer the case, thankfully. However if you just 'let things shake out' the whole time, wouldn't have ever gotten here.

I think the problem is more that fatigue is an issue. People are naturally contrarian in highly individualist countries, so you can only go so far before people get annoyed. Put differently, achieving truly equal opportunity in countries where it is encouraged to think primarily about yourself (because majority isn't dealing with the issue) isn't really a feasible goal. We'll probably always be a little behind in this regard, it's just a psychology problem.

It was never realistic to bring him back and it would have been a bad waste of resources. DT wasn't an issue for the team. The smart move would have been to.try to extend him 2 years ago.

Senior Offensive Assistant. Telling you, this is the way we stock up and avoid getting picked clean after Super Bowl.

The real problem is Harbaugh neutralized the GM in NY. That's the concerning part. Because he seemed to be kinda bad.

I don’t think there were any fervent Patullo supporters on here, but for those wondering if it was more him or Hurts who was responsible, it probably speaks a lot to what the league thinks of Patullo considering he didn’t interview anywhere else.
