I think they’ll play out Jurgens and Dickerson one more year along with AJ then 2 will be gone in 2027

I honestly don’t like even looking ahead so much can change in a year. What if McDaniel comes in and AJ Brown puts up 100 catches for 1500 yards. But Cam Jurgens sucks again and Baun has a major drop off season. Or maybe Brown has an even worse year and it’s like ok he’s declining now but a guy like Jurgens bounces back and looks great.

We’ll have a better picture of the ideal moves for 2027 when we see how 2026 starts to play out. A lot is up in the air.

There were years Isaac seumalo didn’t have the grade he just did. Again not saying he’s great but he was 11th in terms of guards in pass block and 17th in terms of run block. Overall 17th out of 81 eligible guard. His grade in both categories were starter level. If our other guys played at the level we’ve grown accustomed too he’s fine being your weak link just like seumalo was.

The PFF rating system works like this:

• 100-90 Elite

• 89-85 Pro Bowler

• 84-70 Starter

• 69-60 Backup

• 59-0 Replaceable

I'm curious how Tyler Steen might be at RT.

They got a good look at Willie Lampkin when they opened his practice window. I like both Lampkin and Kendall.

Wow the ESPN NHL broadcast is borderline unwatchable. The digital ads all over the ice make the ice look fake. Looks like the players are just floating.

Davis had his 5th year option exercised so his 2026 compensation is guaranteed. He could be traded but he sure as heck won't be released. Not sure why people think Becton is automatically coming back. He still has a year left on his contract. The chargers OL was so bad due to injuries that they need warm bodies. If Becton was below average they probably keep him. I understand they may not want to pay guaranteed money his second year but they still need players.

EJ would be better on the PHLY podcast if he learned to be able to complete his sentences without giggling like a child.

Becton was structured as a one year deal. They save $10M in cap by cutting him, otherwise they have to pay a bonus at the start of free agency.

As a big Hurts critic, I tend to think they need to find an OC that is a fit, not just the "best offensive mind" to figure it out their way. This team is ready to compete now and Hurts is their QB. I wish he wasn't. But that's who they have. You get someone with a strong belief in the blueprint of an offense with more moving pieces, motion, timing emphasis...then you are either asking them to adapt with something they'd rather not do (and perhaps turn that great offensive mind into another Nick Siriani)...all for Hurts... or you are forcing Hurts do something he's neither comfortable nor competent with. Square peg, round hole.

I think you have to get someone who wants an improvisational offense, RPO incorporated, mobile QB with multiple runs, and....yeah....not the most exotic route tree in the NFL. Where I think Patullo really failed was pushing Hurts with forcing more diverse primary reads with the actual play calls.

I don't think those are the kind of off the field issues that prevent bringing a player back unless the mistress was the wife of someone on the roster...

Mcdaniel is the most interesting for Pittsburgh and Baltimore. Not from a HC perspective, but an organizational one. Both teams had accumulated years of fatigue from gentlemanly, steady coaches that didn't push buttons or have that "brain child" reputation. The Steelers organization is pretty steady themselves, so that may not pivot too far off that. That Baltimore owner, on the other hand...they may view this as the perfect opportunity to jump start their offense. I could see it being highly likely that he goes there.

That’s the only thing I’ve seen anyone talk about since he left that was off the field. Maybe he does and it was well under wraps

Becton had a terrible year with LAC, no interest in bringing him back. Given how weak this tackle class is I may actually prefer they draft a couple IOL if they're best linemen available. Maybe take a chance on a raw high upside OT in the middle rounds. But I don't want to reach for a low ceiling tackle in round 1 and wind up with the next Dillard. This team needs to continue to hit on their picks and they do that by not reaching.

This is the problem with using early draft picks on "future replacements" for specific positions when we already have a top notch starter that may continue playing for multiple seasons. By the time the young replacement is ready to step in, he's nearing extension status and it's hard to save cap space. When someone like Lane announces his retirement, that would be the ideal time to draft a potential RT prospect early in the draft. If he doesn't work out soon enough, you aren't financially committed to him.

Jurgens had a let-down year. Due to weak competition in the NFC and injuries to a couple of the conference's better centers, he was voted to another pro bowl. The world isn't coming to an end. So many Eagles fans were calling Jason Kelce a liability even after being a Pro Bowl center in 2014. In 2015, the team stumbled and a majority of fans wanted him replaced with a real center. The Eagles actually drafted Seumalo in the 3rd round of 2016 to compete and that's the season Kelce put it all together and never looked back. fans are doing the same thing with Jurgens. They are also falling into the usual trend of panicking about injuries affecting the future. Most injuries heal. Very rarely does an injury end a career of a good player --- especially a young one. Most likely Jurgens, barring any new injuries, will heal up just fine and return to his 2024 form next season. He may even continue to grow as a player and improve like his predecessor did.
