If a team came with a 1st depending on where or when I think it’s much more interesting because the Eagles in a year from now are gonna be out on AJ Brown based off his contract. His contract dictates that that he either needs an extension or they are moving on after 2026. So I could see them if they got a decent first round pick say OK we’ll consider it. I still don’t know if they would do it, but I think they would consider it.

I don’t think it was ever about the Eagles wanting to trade him. I think more about Aj and him wanting to be in this offense and his frustrations. After 2026 he has $4 mil guaranteed on the contract. Hard time believing he’s playing 2027 on that contract nor the eagles giving him an extension.

He's set up to be traded or released (with post June 1 designation) after the season. Barkley likely in his last year in Philly as well.

Yup. I wouldn’t be shocked if we spent a high draft pick on a wr. Also curious if they spend a 3-5 on a RB. As Barkley like you said and bigsby entering the last year of his contract.

We all want OL but being a weaker OL draft, and a deep TE and WR draft with a couple nice RBs early too, maybe they surprise people and take skill positions this year and save OL for next year in what will hopefully be a better class.

I mean has AJ Brown ever said he wants to be traded? Outside of basic frustrations, has he ever given any indication he wants to leave? Have the Eagles ever said they want to trade AJ? Have they made him available?

It's 100% a media driven narrative that fans have latched on to. It's almost like the media can't survive without some fabricated storyline. They won't let the story die.

We talk about the OL injuries, but I don't know if AJ was every fully healthy last year. He didn't help himself with drops and effort, but I can easily see him bouncing back with a new OC in the building.

I actually think if there was a young good OLineman in FA they might go after him. Only one i know is linderbaum who’s a center. Doubt they go that way. Plus i still think the eagles like Williams, Hinton, Lampkin and Kendall. I’ve said for a while i am not sure they take 2 OL with their top 4 picks. I think they’ll take 1. I could see us going WR, pass rusher and corner with a OL. I still think with a stronger safety class in the draft and FA might get an upgrade to Reed for not much more than Reed

Fields and Price from ND with a TE in the mix like Klare or Delp would be a heck of a lot of fun, even if many of us are scared about the state of the OL.

He slowed down on routes and spoke out about the struggles on offense and so fans hate him and want him gone

Yikes - he needs to be placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List.

Do you believe all the Carson Wentz stories? Because the same guy said he asked to be traded internally.

The media might be playing into some but to think its 100% media driven is kinda ridiculous. Other GM's think he could be had in a trade and have said so, anonymously obviously, otherwise it would be tampering. When all the GM's, agents and other execs are together in Indy for the combine next week you'll probably here more about it.

There's more people on social media whining about AJ Brown news and rumors to local beat writers and how he's never going to get traded that it doesn't even make sense for them to push the story to draw clicks or views.

Probably nothing unless they take some of his salary. He's a declining player due $16M and there are other options as you mentioned.

I mean, none of the money is guaranteed, so I'm guessing teams just wait for them to cut him. I guess a 7th to lock him up if he agrees to a massively reduced deal could work (but why would he do that instead of forcing a release), but unless Miami is getting a premium pick, there's no reason they should eat any money. Just release him unless you can buy a day 2 pick for less than his current cap charge (they have no cap space and still need to deal with Tua).

Speaking of buffets, in HS, there was a Pizza Hut close to my school. While we had a smoking area, this was before leaving campus was allowed. We got twenty minutes for lunch with two five minute breaks on each end to get to and from class. My best friend and I would run to whichever car we were driving in that day drive to the lunch buffet, order a pitcher of beer (fake IDs, still have mine, a Louisiana "drivers license”) basically devour about a large pizza between us and drowned that pitcher. Paid our bill when the pitcher arrived. Rush out, with time to stop at a Utotem (now owned by Circle K) for Tums for my friend, sneak back on campus and usually make it to class on time. There may or may not have been a doobie smoked on the way to and from the Hut. Texas had/has such archaic weed laws, I won’t admit the positive to this day.

He was easily the most overrated player in the NFL coming into this season, and the front office did him no favors by putting a geriatric team around him. He's a glorified check down merchant.

Will be interesting to see how they handle it if one or multiple of the guys explode under a new offensive system. Like if AJ puts up 90 catches for 1400 yards and 10 TDs under Mannion. Or Barkley is back to looking like 2024. Will be hard to see them just letting them go. Of course it could all go horribly wrong and make the decision easy for them too.

Not saying they should eat money, just there's no way they get a trade if they don't. Like you said, I think teams will just wait for him to get cut.

Concerned about the ability to hit on OL without Stout here to develop em.
