I was always a fan of Woods. Could be a stop gap veteran if Blankenship leaves. He would be cheap and wouldn't affect the comp pick formulas.

Just means they are hurt at the time of release

What is your walk away price for the following free agents?

Jaelan Phillips

Reed Blankenship

Dallas Goedert

I wouldn't go over 20 million for Phillips and 10 for Goedert and Blankenship. I doubt they are able to sign all three of these guys.

These numbers are meaningless. If @vikas83 put up something I would pay attention but not to this. Nothing personal, mind you.

Oh ok, thank you!

Yeah yeah, vikas, please come in and run some numbers/salaries for us. Who can we keep??

Means he got an injury settlement.

Teams with winning aspirations have real interest in Derek Carr in 2026?

Must be the Jets/Cardinals

The ultimate compliment

A couple general thoughts I have for the offseason after some time away from football…some of which some of you will say is me being Captain Obvious, while others will disagree vehemently…that’s what makes the world go around.

  1. Move as much money from the offense towards extensions on defense as possible. Sadly, trading/releasing anyone seems to make the situation worse. But anything that can be done, should be, as I’d gladly part with anyone on offense not named Mailata to facilitate keeping the young defensive studs on this roster.

  2. Offensive investment should be limited to the draft…and that should be limited to the OL unless there is a can’t-pass-up player that stupefyingly falls to them. Here’s why:

    1. With all due respect to Lane, RT is an immediate, dire need. They’ve proven over the years they can’t win without Lane. So they need to find another RT they can win with.

    2. Between the uncertainty over the future of Dickerson and the contractual uncertainty and generalized lack of enthusiasm for Steen, they absolutely need at least one starting OG.

    3. OL (generally) have more longevity and system fluidity than RB/WR/TE. We do not know how this system is going to mesh with Hurts and we don’t know if there will be a new HC sooner rather than later. OL survive transitions between coaches and systems far better than skill players. We’ve seen countless OL thrive across HC changes here. How many skill players have done that? Do we want a high pick on a WR just for them to suffer through a QB search? Rebuild the OL first, then spend big picks on playmakers once we realize that we have a fit between QB, coach, and system.

  3. Don’t be afraid to position more for 2027 than 2026. The chances of new coaches, new system, and further personnel drainage on defense resulting in a legitimate SB run in 2026 are vanishingly low. I would not burn resources in lipstick for the 2026 roster unless it will make them better in 2027.

Glad he’s back and hopefully next year he’s healthier. But also a bit concerning from a long term outlook this was even a question at his age.

Yes, also concerned of this team continuing to push him onto the field injured.

Phillips - Let's extend Jordan Davis instead.

Blankenship - $8 million

Goedert - $10 million over 3 seasons

I agree no one should applaud having the Clapp.

People saying trade Jalen Carter and he wasn't that good last year. It was blatantly clear from the start he was nowhere near 100% and honestly a mistake by the Eagles not to address that early on properly just like they did with aome other players (Dickerson and Cam).

Wonder if the eagles hire him to some capacity. They’ve showed interest in him in the past and Parks Frazier as qb coach isn’t officiL yet.

I look forward to DeVonta having a much bigger season than AJ on whatever team AJ winds up on (hopefully the Browns).

Like this trade for the Titans.
