But if they sign him to that deal You're paying more money and out a 3rd rounder when you could have kept the better, homegrown player for less money. And they let Sweat walk. So they obvious will let philips walk at higher cost and take the comp pick. False dichotomy between these two playersNo doubt we draft a Hunt like edge this yr to develop

False dichotomy between these two playersNo doubt we draft a Hunt like edge this yr to developThe bigger edges to replace Sweat as a more traditional DE are Lawrence, Jacas, and Zion YoungOf those guys, Jacas is the most used to dropping and playing in space despite his size. But man Dennis-Sutton all of a sudden is super intriguing. Not just the size and 40, but the 6.90 3 cone as well. I havent watched him at all yet because penn state generally bores me but they just continue pumping out athletes year after year.
Friday at 03:22 PM2 days Another guy who stood out to me in the all star game week was edge Vincent Anthony from Duke. He had a decent day yesterday. Not freaky, but good enough for a pretty much unknown likely later round guy. That size, and arm length- those jumps are solid. And the 40 time is ok to me at that size considering we arent talking about a 1st rounder here.

I do think there's a difference between the HC taking a bullet for players on a specific play that resulted in a loss vs. a larger conversation about your starting QB. These narratives have been said in the past as well, and Siri rejects them each time.Sirianni is a players coach. He will never throw his players under the bus to the media. This is the same guy that said the Eagles have the best chance to win with Reagor on the field. Look how much backlash Dombrowski got for saying Harper didn't have an elite season and how butt hurt Harper got over it. Maybe Sirianni is saying the truth but there's nothing he should be doing other than defending and rejecting narratives that paint Hurts in a bad light.

Friday at 03:31 PM2 days Howell had an overall disappointing day. Teams are going to have a decision with the arm length of him, and especially Ruben Bain. 30'' arms SHOULD remove an edge player from draft boards. But it is Ruben Bain. Then again, it is 30 inch arms. What do you do?Then you look at his sack production.... not elite sack production. Like some teams were already saying, hes not going to be a consistent 10+ sack a year guy.I feel like there is a chance one of these really excellent edge players will be within our range and now even we have to decide if we would take them.
Friday at 03:33 PM2 days On the plus side for Howell. Also note my man Lawrence. And Reiger is even ahead of Bailey there. Its no surprise he stood out in 1 on 1s in the all-star pracrices.

Maybe Sirianni is saying the truth but there's nothing he should be doing other than defending and rejecting narratives that paint Hurts in a bad light. That's true. But players also defend Hurts. The players publicly criticize the offensive coaching and graded Patullo the lowest on the report card. I don't buy that the coaches have no control over the offense and that they simply cannot do things for the reason that Hurts refuses to do them. He's a coach's son and cares about winning no matter how it's done. Every QB has preferences and every coach should work an offense to their QB skill sets and what makes them comfortable. There are also things people say Hurts refuses to do that he's on record saying he likes doing, such as being under center. So I don't buy that narrative. Now, if the coaches think they can't call certain things due to his skill set that is different. But the idea that he refuses and dictates the offense I can't buy, because that also means the coaches have no control and what does that say about them.
Friday at 03:40 PM2 days If Jaelen Phillips is able to get a big payday somewhere else, thanks for the help and the comp pick and good luck. Draft an Edge to add to the mix.

Nolan Smith wasn't part of their plan at 31 (but was at 10). We weren't trying to sign an expensive running back, but Barkley was an elite player who can at a relative discount. His entire approach is go get as much talent as possible, however you can get it. Most teams just stick to draft/development and don't deviate at all from their plans.I thought they didn't expect Mitchell to be there?
Friday at 03:46 PM2 days I struggle with the attention span for videos that done have the timeline separated by topic. I hate that these guys dont do that. But this was a good discussion. I just posted some things from this video in here but its worth a watch.
Friday at 03:48 PM2 days Jeff McLane said agents of Eagles with uncertain futures have gotten the sense a decision on Brown will be made sooner rather than later based on conversations with the team. Mentioned by March 10th, the start of FA.
Friday at 03:55 PM2 days If a team offers a great haul of picks for AJ Brown that's too good to pass up, I still don't understand how it's feasible financially. I thought it was said it's too difficult due to the contract?

Friday at 03:58 PM2 days McLane says Eagles demanding a 1st and 2nd. For me it would have to be that and in 2027 to consider it. Given the potential of those picks are not yet set. For example if you trade him to the Patriots and they have a regression year those picks could be mid rounds or higher. But this draft isn't very good and even a 2026 1st does nothing for me. Plus the cap ramifications and also how do you replace him? Use a 1st on a WR? Using a pick to fill a need instead of going OL? Also would the cap issues impact their ability to re-sign players? If Howie could get a 2027 1st and 2nd I couldn't call that a bad trade, but I doubt any team does that. I think they get offered a late 2026 1st at most and that wouldn't be enough for me.
