I don’t disagree but that’s the basis of the too many cooks argument. Too many outside voices vs the internal voices who all think they know the answers to the problem and they don’t all get onboard.

That’s why there are so many outside voices. The internal voices sucked last year. I would expect they know that at some level.

Sirianni should have an offensive say in terms of normal gameday decisions — go up tempo, four down territory, trying to score before half, going to the four minute offense, etc. The new hires are here so he doesn’t have to cook. He can manage.

It will be up to Mannion and Co. to figure out how to make this all work with Hurts, who should have a say in the offense to a certain extent as all other QBs do.

My general philosophy on big changes like this are that they tend to break the dam. A team can scratch and claw and find some success doing things a certain way. And then when they make a big change to fix things, understandably of course, it usually breaks the dam. At least in the NFL. It's almost like your base that has supported you gives out and the floor of your offense's potential collapses.

Of course it could work out for good, and we all wanted to see the change. I just think this year might be pretty rough. But that doesn't mean the offense can't get better over the years, even if 2026 is very tough. And I tend to think it will be.

I'm gonna go positive here and say that this year will be a lot better than last year offensively. We just need the D to stay at the same level or not regress too much

Sirianni not having any say in actual play-calling should also mean the play-call gets in faster. Soooo many times Jalen got the playcall with 10 seconds left.

Theyre going to have to relay the call through 6 offensive coordinators, then Sirianni, then Hurts' wristband. We are never going to run a play. Delay of game every time.

Here is a refresher on the Feldman freaks list after the combine. Looks like the majority of these guys are actually still in school which should make for a great primer for next college football season.

But a good portion are in this draft.

One notable miss who should actually be near the top of his list and isnt even included is Malachi Lawrence.

Nothing in life is black and white. The debate is if the personnel was the problem with the offense or if it was incompetent coaching/playcalling/scheme. The Eagles are irreversibly over-committed to the personnel. So they are doing the only thing they can do. Completely change the scheme and the offensive coaching and hope that transforms the same personnel enough to make the team better and THEN some (to compensate for the continued personnel departures and their consequential regression on defense).

I think we all, deep down, know that simply flipping the switch on the scheme with the same personnel is not going to accomplish ALL of that.

But this was their only option.

Nyck Harbor is going to be my man crush in next year's draft. He's a Bo Jackson / Randy Moss / Deon Sanders level athlete and that might actually be selling him short.

Some things in life are indeed black and white. That said this issue probably isn't but it shouldn't be that hard to improve on last year's performance. So I'm going to stay positive until proven otherwise on the field.

Yeah. Would be nice to see him have a productive season. Then again, that probably makes him a top 5 pick.

Howie isn't taking a safety in round 1.

I tend to think you're right but I also don't know if that's going to be a hard and fast rule in this draft. I think Howie has leaned towards taking the consensus BPA in recent years. Maybe that's not a philosophy change but I tend to think they are not as wedded to the idea of valuing certain positions over others. I can see them taking a player like Thienemen over Blaker Miller if they have more of a 2nd-3rd round grade on Miller and cannot trade out of the position.

Nah. The blog will be better without him

PFF's mock has Freeling going 6th now to the Browns. Highly doubt he goes that high. Have Eagles taking Proctor. Which I would not be a fan of.

Don't think this is realistic for the Eagles at all.

Agreed. I wouldn't trade for him anyways

Patriots would affect us

They're asking for the Parsons deal still?

I don’t think the Raiders are going to get close to what they think they will for him. Could be wrong obviously.

Makes me wonder what the Eagles could get for Bigsby.

Crosby only has $30 million in guarantees left. He would be cheaper than Phillips over next season. I think they could also sign him to a cheaper extension than Phillips. I think it depends on the cost in picks.

And have no depth at RB?
