First OC interview

Thank gosh for the Mets. 7 years would have been brutal.

Or they could have taken the deal and let him opt out after one.

Oh hell yeah!!! Falcons suck though.

Falcons fan post on reddit:

With all the head coaching opportunities opening up this offseason, I think we need to brace ourselves for the loss of Zac Robinson.

Robinson spent five seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, rising from assistant quarterbacks coach to passing game coordinator/QB coach under Sean McVay, one of the most respected offensive minds in the NFL.

He comes directly from the McVay coaching tree, which has become one of the league’s biggest pipelines for head coaches names like Matt LaFleur and Kevin O’Connell speak for themselves.

In his first season as an NFL offensive coordinator, Robinson’s offense finished:

  • 6th in total yards per game

  • 5th in passing yards

  • 10th in rushing yards

That kind of balance and efficiency was a massive step forward compared to Arthur's offenses.

More importantly, he helped design an offense that unlocked career best seasons from key skill players while navigating a quarterback transition, a strong indicator of real in game adaptability and player development, not just scheme on paper.

That combination of coordinator success, Super Bowl experience and proven player development is rare among head-coaching candidates. It’s hard to imagine teams not lining up to interview him soon.

Thanks,

Zac’s Mom

3 year deal for JT. Great job DD. POS

WTF.....that guy is a POS as a GM. Now he goes to the Mets. You dumb F

Meh, Bichette is OK, but not for 7 years. Imagine that left side of the infield defensively: a weak defending Turner at SS and an even worse 3rd base defender in Bichette. And by signing Schwarber for 5 years the DH is locked up so Harper has to stay at first and can't move to DH so Bichette would be stuck at 3rd for years. Love Schwaber but resigning him gave us much less flexibility in the coming years.

I dont know if this stuff got fixed or not, but there are some bad videos from october on this falcons offense. here is one. looks like eagles predictability.

We didn't need Bichette, we got the Bohmer!!

14th and 24th in PPG the last two years

Seems like he piles up yards but doesn't do anything with them. The new innovative bend don't break on offense.

I doubt he's the guy but it would be underwhelming

I don't like it, just doesn't make me livid like an Arthur Smith interview would. I like at least they are going to a different style.

I've really come around on the idea of McDaniel if he's available. Kingsbury or Daboll would be my backup choices.

Figured Zac Robinson would be considered. Bad results in Atlanta but was the ‘hot’ McVay assistant before this crop

There are things that sound good, but the bad is really bad.

How much is the QB transition, and how much is it that he just isnt a great disciple of Shanahan/McVay? He may well be the Gannon of the Fangio tree.

Robinson is a good guy to talk to based on the coaching trees he’s been a part of. Beyond picking his brain, this is a disappointing first interview, but maybe it’s just a matter of timing/availability. We need to get the Rooney Rule out of the way so we can make our move.

I’m not going to get all that worked up negatively over any interview. This is a good chance to pick the brains of a diverse set of minds. For all his warts, Smith can really design a run game.

He wanted an opt out. Should have done it

Sounds like he and KP would be perfect together.
