That's how you do it.

March 6Mar 6 So with the legal tampering period starting on Monday noon, here's what I expect to happen with the Eagles between now and then (or the start of the league year on Wednesday):I think Howie will get an extension for JD done to free up $8-9 million in cap spaceThey will cut Michael Carter to free up $8.9 millionHopefully they also get a deal done with Carter on an extensionI think Goedert's contract voids and he hits the market (and crystallizes the ~20mm dead cap hit for 2026). Howie might want to try and bring him back, but I think Goedert's agents want to see what is out there. His contract voids on 3/10, so maybe they get a sense of the market on 3/9 and strike a deal in time, but that's awfully quick.I think Phillips makes it to FA, but keeps in contact with the Eagles. The edge market seems to have high demand. Hard to see his reps not wanting to see what's out there.
