I don’t usually get personal on here, but your post hit me. I’ve been where you are. I’ve had a couple suicide attempts in my past and spent time in inpatient treatment afterward. I’m still in therap

Eagles taking the Dave Dombrowski approach

What would you like them to do lol

Howie and Vic have been clear they want to leave Coop at nickel. But if they have to move him outside, they can. Don't have to force a CB signing.

No but some people got cut who would be better than Jackson. Don't have to overpay or rush into it. Some good prospects may fall in RD1. That would preclude an OL but could be better value.

He put out a new one but didn't change anything, for whatever reason.

I think he’s kidding

I don't dislike Nolan but he is kinda smaller for edge imo...

He is. Note, Parker has said he is taking your team to a 3/4 alignment. Gary is a 3/4 DE.

I didn’t say they had too but basically what they are going to do. Extend a couple guys, let guys go and then add around the margins.

give me all them comp picks.

Was. but their offseason was expected of extend some guys, let some guys go that are too pricey and add around the margins.

Conservative guess where we are. I am potentially low on how much cap space JD's contract added (I am assuming he gets ~22.7mm in comp this year, or 25% of the 4 year deal, with all but min salary in signing bonus), and using $3mm for MC2 though Howie may get that to more like $1.6mm if he does full void years.

Ever since that one year(was it 2018) where the Eagles played the comp pick game and spent on Malik Jacksin instead of going out and getting a real DT, I've been fatigued from the comp pick game. Cut players are cut for a reason. If you want to add them, fine, but if you count on them to shore up your weaknesses, then you aren't doing it right. Bradley Chubb alone is not enough for this pass rush if they have SB aspirations.

This WR market is stupid

Oh FFS, Smith was coming off a Super Bowl muscle tear that he reaggravated. He was coming on at the end of the year, just as Phillips disappeared. My preference is a OLB in the draft.

I'm aware of the injury...

AJ contract looking better by the min…

One move I'd like to see is Fred Johnson brought back on a 2 or 3 year deal even if they have to promise him the starting spot in a year when Lane retires. Watching today makes me want them to have flexibility to draft BPA or trade back.

Oh yea?

Well take this

He's close but too stupid to take out the ~$5.7mm for draft picks and ~$5mm Howie likes to keep in season.

I really like this signing because it adds flexibility. He can add depth at safety and NCB. If Reed walks and we get no one else, he can be a safety. Or we could play him at NCB and move Coop outside. Based on Vic and Howie's comments, I doubt plan A is moving Coop outside, but again - provides flexibility at a minimal cost.

Two 185:lb Ss is a bit much.

Id have paid that. He'd be 1 year away from being the WR2 here. Bargain

Is there a bigger fraud in the Philly media than the nepotism baby himself Spike Eskin? For weeks he was saying don't sign Phillips, he isn't worth 20+ million a year. Then Phillips signs for 30 million a year and he is whining about how much worse the Eagles are at edge rusher and that the Eagles are going to take a big step back when the offseason is only 2 hours old.

Reworked as apparently MC2 wasn't cut, so adds a few more dollars. Redid his deal.

Comp picks are just a byproduct of drafting well, winning every year, and not jumping to the front of the line to pay $$$$$ in free agency. A hard cap means you only have so much money to pay everyone, and nobody would have been on board with paying Phillips $30M AAV or even Dotson at $7.5M per.

We'll see what Dean and Goedert get, but I suspect it will be more than most Eagles fans want to pay them.

....................... now, just watch Howie sign Hendrickson to a contract at about 1/2 of what Phillips got ................
