Wasn't Blank one of the worst ranked S in all of football last year via PFF? Christian Parker could have gotten him for much less than he signed Jalen Thompson.. So Parker didn't really go after Dean or Reed by the sounds of it... So question is are we the fans overrating those two guys because we like the person?

Guess they like Carter more than we do at safety.

I'd still look at McNeil-Warren RD1 or trade up for a guy like Kilgore in RD3.

He sucked with a new team. Would he have done so with the Eagles? Doubt it. The market is crazy, but that seems like a decent deal to keep continuity at the position. We don't have to applaud every move Howie makes. He got too cute last year, this at the moment, which is all we can go on, feels like one of those moves. That isn't ****in.

I don't know if comp picks have been addressed but the eagles got a 3rd (98), 4th (137), 5th (178), and a 6th (215). Since they're tradable, it's a pretty good addition of assets.

Probably. Its a bit less than i thought he would get, and if we had signed him for that it would have been a "meh, fine” deal to me. But i am waiting to see things play out before i have feelings one way or another

Could we be making moves in anticipation of Cooper and Mitchell? Both of those should be pretty expensive

Of course they are accounting for those two. They are young studs at very valuable positions. And Carter and Hunt will get paid too. Smith is kinda my next wildcard

Could be or it's just another dumb move. Howie can be amazing but sometimes he misses the easy moves thinking he can plug a hole and it doesn't work out. Last year he made quite a few of those.

They have massive needs at Edge and Safety right now. Two biggest needs on the roster. Will need to do something to draft proof themselves there, otherwise that affects their ability to focus on offense in the draft.

That may be, but again, he got too cocky last year and created a few holes he didn't need to. Accounting for Coop and Q doesn't factor in because they were going to pay JP 20 million. Unless he is going for Trey, which I hope he doesn't it's a move that doesn't make sense today. We can trust him, but it doesn't have to be blind trust coming off a season where he missed a lot.
