That shouldn't matter, they can agree to terms just like any other free agent that's out there right now. Deals aren't signed until Wednesday I believe. He is under contract, they just need to agree to new terms if he is willing to those terms. He may be holding out for a bigger payday, which at this point hasn't materialized.
