One was Howie basically builds his contracts similar to deferred money with everyone having option bonuses every year. What if he went to a Lane, Hurts, etc and got 3 or so to restructure and defer their options to 2027 and give them some interest on top to do so? Eagles wouodnt get hit with the 2026 proration and say you can cut $15-$20M off the 2026 cap, the trade becomes more palatable. That's kinda what he's been doing already to get us to this point. He's already been kicking the can down the road with everyone he can, which is fine if Lane, Hurts, and whoever else remain as viable contributors until 2027. But fans are already calling for Hurts to be traded and who knows how many more quality seasons Lane still has in him. It's somewhat plausible but eventually compounding risk will catch up to you.

A local writer is saying multi-year contract @ 7.5m AAV, no way I sign a kicker long term like that, could turn into a head case in quick fashion, then you are stuck with a kicker who has the shanks. We saw a slight glimpse of that late in the season:"The Cowboys also have some decisions to make with their restricted free agents. Since he was not drafted, All-Pro kicker Brandon Aubrey is likely to receive the second-round tender, which is projected to be a little more than $6 million. The Cowboys had talks with Aubrey’s agent, Todd France, on a multiyear deal last summer but never got close. Perhaps those get rekindled in the offseason, which could make Aubrey the highest-paid kicker in the NFL but with a cap number of less than $6 million for 2026."He will probably get a first round tender. He is an absolute weapon.Any other team can sign him to a big contract but Dallas has the chance to match.

1 hour ago1 hr Parker is a lesser version of Stoutland. I mean that in the sense that they are getting the most out of elite players. Elite players are propping them up. It's the backups that don't develop where they seem to be coming up short. Are players great because of the coaches or are the coaches being overrated because of great talent?

Fred Johnson was undrafted though? Becton has only been good here? I mean, what do you think would be the resume of a good position coach? Lol.

1 hour ago1 hr Holy cow. This guy just moves at a different speed than everyone else. The burst after the catch at the :25 mark. Incredible.

Our secondary is great at that.

Mitchell was pick #22. DeJean was a 2nd rounder. Both weren’t "elite” talent in the draft two years ago otherwise they would have been drafted way earlier.Besides them what "elite” talent has propped Parker up? Slay?

Slay?I get that Mitchell was pick 22, but that was fairly stunning. While I didn’t think he was a Sauce Gardner level of prospect I thought he should have gone close to the top 10. I remember seeing a team’s board post draft and it appeared that Mitchell was flagged medically. DeJean, also flagged medically on that team’s board, was pure luck falling that far. I’m an internet idiot and it was plainly obvious to me that he was going to be good. It was only a matter of where in the secondary. Not that Parker doesn’t deserve any credit for them being elite.

I know we got them back good when it counted but now I really want to F them up. Even them losing in the SB will not make me feel better. Need them out this week and need them to get beat badly physically and score wise too. We should have busted them up so much worse. We barely laid a glove on them.Who I expectTexans-if they lose this week I will be crushed lol.

It's not like there's an advantage for him to keep it quiet.People can have disagreements in a workplace. The team won 11 games. It's not like it was a losing organization. They were winning games but just unable to fix persistent problems. I am sure there were times when Jalen was stubborn about issues. I doubt they were afraid to talk to him.The defense won 11 games. The offense contributed in maybe 6 of them, and that's probably being generous. It wouldn't be crazy that some of the players on the team aren't hurts biggest fans, it would make a lot of sense for the defense to hate him lol
47 minutes ago47 min The niners barely squeaked by us when the defense played just a good game, the seattle defense is better. The Seahawks have a better offensive coaching staff as well, I expect them to score more than we did
