So what is the boards thoughts on what WAS has done in FA? Some Dallas writers are thinking they have improved significantly on defense. Owen is a good pick up, I haven’t looked at the terms, but he’s a rising edge.

WTF is going on with this Off-Season?!

There is no way this was the plan for Edge rusher. Howie has swung and missed on a few I'm assuming.

Unlike the 76ers, Howie actually accrues/keeps his assets. As he misses/doesn’t plan for splash players - we don’t sell the farm for old bums. But he does hamstring us by rushed re-signings and void years/dead cap. Spending max money on a poor performing offense has been the thorn in his side. But that’s the coaches fault, not his. We don’t throw the ball enough or have good enough passing schemes to warrant 2 #1 WRs.

Technically we have Hunt and Nolan. A $30m pass rusher isn’t going to fix our team. Technically the glaring holes that need addressed are TE, S, and OL/Edge stability or depth.

We have 4 draft picks in the top 100 - that could easily turn into 5.

Solid draft right there. Although would have gone EDGE RD2 given the current FA situation.

Will give you all the Howies if you let me in on how to post these on the board.

PFSN is my drug of choice this time of year.

This offseason absolutely sucks. Howie had his worst offseason as a general manager a year ago and is repeating the exact same things. Letting everyone walk and signing nobody to replace them except clearance rack items.

Our "big signing" is a guy who is super talented but has been inconsistent to say the least and was benched multiple times in Seattle since his rookie year. We currently have Hunt and Smith at edge rusher and nothing else and last year when they went with that approach they ended up having to give up a 3rd round pick for Phillips. No starting TE, but hey we brought back the worst most useless player on the team last season Grant Calcaterra. Safety is currently Mukuba who had an injury plagued inconsistent rookie season and Sydney Brown. Offensive line depth, nah we don't need that because having none worked out so well last season.

Seriously, it's like FN groundhog day from last offseason which led to a disappointing regular season. Oh, and before someone says to me "it's early" there is barely anyone left worth signing in free agency at edge rusher, Safety, and Tight End. You would think Howie would have learned from last offseason but nope. Might be time to stop glazing Howie and acting like he doesn't make mistakes.

Obviously the early options for edge haven't worked out. Can't force it tho. That's where you get in trouble. Season is a long way off

Howie is following the 2025 off-season playbook which worked out so well for him. FN JOKE.

Eagles have $11m less cap hit in dead money as they do their entire defense combined.

These are the drawbacks to void years/bas signings. For example we’re on the hook this year for $38m on Slay, Bradbury, and Huff.

Cant blame him for having an incompetent "offensive” coach who has every tool in the world and can’t manage to get 1st downs.

Back with Gannon

You also cant go into the season with Hunt, Smith, and this year's Ojulari and Uche and pretty much all that's left is 2026 versions of them. Arnold Ebiketie and AJ Epenesa are probably the best edge rushers left on the market.

For argument's sake. Why? With that same weak spot our D was still pretty solid all year. It was the offense that was the big problem

No but I can blame him for cheaping out at edge rusher and then having to turn around and trade a 3rd round pick for Phillips who he just lost in free agency. He is currently on track to repeat the same mistake from a year ago and rely on Hunt, Smith, and some clearance rack signings like Ojulari and Uche. I can also blame him for hiring that incompetent offensive coordinator. I can also blame him for not prioritizing depth on the OL which bit then in the ass last season and so far we have done nothing but lose players along the line.

The pass rush was horrendous until they brought in Phillips.

They don’t have money. What did you expect and why?

Draft is THE building tool until the dead money is gone and we move on from some bad contracts.

It’s been like 2 days lmao.

I think you can. He should've overruled Nick on the offensive coordinator hire.

Epenesa in FA and Cashius Howell in the draft would be about the only way I'd feel good going forward into 2026 at EDGE.

Unless by some miracle Bailey falls further than expected and Howie shoots up to get him.

I ask because I don't know. When will most of this dead cap start to come off the books?

Wonder how much the D was effected by an offense with a terrible 3 am out rate and couldn’t run the ball?

Big whoop we god a rental for what a difference in 10 draft spots year over year?

We had depth - coaches didn’t like the depth apparently. So much so they chose Matt Pryor for our backup OT lmaoooooo.

BS excuses. They were going to sign Phillips for around 25 million per year had he not signed for 30 with Carolina. Also the whole "it's been two days" thing is so laughable and predictable and I called it from a mile away. There is barely anyone left and we are down to Ojulari's and Uche's at edge rusher already unless Howie wants to burn more assets trading for someone which is what he had to do last season when the edge rusher position wasn't good enough.

It wasn't sustainable. Look at the last two super bowls, it's hard to win at the highest level without an elite level pass rush.
