I wonder how long into the summer we can get before AJ starts complaining through not so subtle social media posts.

Damn Adam. Get out of literally everyone’s head.

Agree other than the first comment. Woolen could EASILY do more for the defense than those guys, and he could also EASILY just be an upgrade over Adore Jackson who was mid at best. There is so much to like about Woolen but there is also a lot to be concerned with and he just doesn't strike me as the type of guy that Vic is going to like.

I’m saying he will do more with the possible exception of Nakobe.

He’s the type of guy I’d be worried leaving my team, getting a wake-up call, and becoming an all-pro because he buys into Vic.  Of course, Vic could decide he’s too immature and we may never hear his name called after training camp.

As far as I’m concerned (as of today), the defense has a major upgrade at CB2, a modest downgrade at LB, a major downgrade in DE depth, and a major downgrade at safety.  I say DE depth because I think Phillips is extremely overrated at this point and the ongoing development of Hunt and Smith will render the Phillips loss a depth downgrade.  So I don’t think it will take a ton to make up the ground in the edge rotation and at S before the season starts.

The DE depth is non-existent so there’s work to do there.

Safety is a huge hole now with Epps not even signed but then again Reed just wasn’t that good. The Eagles seem to have some plan there and don’t seem overly worried. All their reported moves were DE related

Come on man, we brought back 50 year old BG and still have Sydney Brown at safety. We could also move Michael Carter to safety and have the only sub 6'0 /190 lb safety tandem in the league.

Kind of remarkable that after all this discussion, insider speculation, outsider speculation, time, and the first week of FA……….the bottom line of the AJ Brown discussion hasn’t changed since mid-season. Literally nothing has changed. "They don’t want to trade him unless they get their price. He would like to be traded. But both sides are tip-toeing around a mutual meltdown.”

We knew that in October. And we haven’t moved since. Talk about wasted discussion.

I was accepting and prepared for an offseason of almost no money spent. But if they made a genuine push to retain Philips, then why didn’t they pivot into the Oweh sweepstakes? Cheaper, healthier, and a definitively better pass rusher than Phillips.

Howie will make moves. He always fills in the roster on paper. And continues moves up through trade deadline. The problem last year was just the moves didn’t pan out for the most part. Obviously that’s on him. My point is moves are coming.

Wonder who his sources are bec AJ has continued to say how Philly is home and it’s where he wants to be.

Probably his AJ's agent who was actively trying to build interest among different teams at the combine. AJ asked to be traded 3 times last season and it's obvious he wants out.

News to me. Never heard anything from AJ who’s had no problems voicing frustration. Not sure why he would be all of a sudden timid and not request a trade publicly. Especially during the offseason. You must have the same sources as Dianna Russini.

I agree but he is playing with fire using a similar strategy to what didn't work last off-season. It feels like FN groundhog day, where's Bill Murray?

Yeah that doesnt make sense to me. Even if it wasnt the same position, youd think theyd have gone and done something else. But, it could still be Greenard, or Crosby.

If we get Brisker, Greenard and Goedert that fills a lot of holes. I’m not thrilled with trading a pick but Greenard is a good player

Bro, there is no talking to these people. Howie is out there doing everything he can to get creative and drum up a market so he can trade him but to these AJ glazers the Eagles would never trade him and AJ wants to be here. All just media manufactured.

Agreed. I could even live with Greenard, Goedert, and a couple of cheap signings at safety with one of them being Epps. I think safety is low key a real problem right now. Mukuba isn't a sure thing, Vic doesn't want Brown anywhere near the field unless it's special teams and for dang good reason, and they have nobody else. I also don't see them drafting a safety in the first three rounds after doing so last year but who knows.

I wonder what sources Adam Schefter has.

If it passes June 1st and Crosby is still on Raiders and eagles haven’t addressed DE well I could see an AJ for Crosby trade with picks involved

Brisker becomes an option the longer FA wears on as the typical 1 year ball out and make more money next year deal that fits our defense well.

Yeah he’s going to eat a 27 mil cap hit while creating a massive hole on offensive that we won’t be able to fix this year.

You’re part of that group that hates Philly stars. Prob an active caller on WIP

We’d have to win every game 9-6.

Brisker seems to fit any defense well. He was an awesome prospect. I dont know how many games he will miss with his concussions, but itll be a worthwhile roll of the dice.
