If you’re picking top 10 it’s a lot easier to zero in on 2-3 prospects. It doesn’t require AI to conclude the Eagles will likely draft OL, EDGE or WR in the first round. Regular intelligence steers you to that inevitable conclusion. The main variable at #23 is — would you rather use your pick to draft the 5th or 6th best OL or EDGE in the draft, the 3rd or 4th best WR ….. or does it make more sense to pick the best or 2nd best prospect at a different position? So, if we stay at #23, who do YOU pick?? BPA, or a need position? I'm conflicted. As usual. 😜

The 21-25 range hasn’t always been kind to Howie, although he did make the correct pick in 2024 because every CB was still on the board. Q has been an All Pro at the position.I think the Eagles will likely move up a few picks to take either OT or OG and won’t wait/hope their target is still there. I think WR is their most likely 2nd round pick. Either AJ Brown will be traded during the summer or will certainly be gone after the 2026 season.

The general and consistent sentiment from coaches was that he'd have a good game where he's running and throws the ball well, but teams know how to defend him, he can't handle simulated pressures, and 9 out of 10 times his results are going to be a mixed bag.Funniest part of this is that two of his best games were right before the Bye (Vikings, Giants2). Vikes threw a lot at Jalen too from a blitz perspective.

I would love to get Kenyon Sadiq but I'm not going to bend over backwards for him. My ideal picks would be either EMW ( safety ) a OT or TJ Parker ( edge )

As usual. 😜Interesting conversation so i'm going to insert myself There's a delicate balance between BPA and positions of need. Of course they shouldn't select the #1 rated LB if it's the true BPA, but they also shouldn't select the #15 OT just because it's a position of need. It's definitely harder in a draft that reportedly isnt as strong and the drop off from the top to middle tier prospects is large. I would lean more towards BPA than need, thinking of it as eventually every position will be a position of need at some point it's just doing triage on which positions you think will drop off earliest and of those, which are premium positions
Saturday at 10:49 PM2 days Take the player you think will be a stud All-Pro at either OT, Edge, S, TE, WR, maybe even OG.
Saturday at 11:07 PM2 days Ioane will be a stud. Best OL in the class. Would be great if the Eagles got him, but I don't think he falls and don't think Howie will trade up for a guard. Nor should he.

Great anchor for sure but on the move, a much different story. Neither quick nor fast. I think Baldy talked himself into loving this guy.

Sunday at 02:36 AM2 days I really like the way Howie does one year deals at positions of need in the offseason. It’s a very smart combination of high talented guys who haven’t put together and aged has-been quality players who just might get you one more year of good play. They’ve hit home runs (and singles) with this approach in the past. Perhaps more important than the signings themselves, it affords him total flexibility to force nothing in the draft. I’m not nearly as worried about safety as anyone on the blog. It’s going to be fine and then some.
Sunday at 02:41 AM2 days Theres certainly no need to trade up for Ioane when you can stay put or trade down and get Bisontis. Still neither may be great fits for OZs.This may be a draft where we are best drafting a center, if any OL at all other than late round projects.I like Drew Kendall, but if the eagles are going OZ they can get by with lighter OL like when we had Evan Mathis next to Kelce back in the day. That means Kendall may be able to play guard, and we may look to draft someone like Logan Jones, center from Iowa in say, round 3 maybe with that early 3rd rounder we have.I also think theyll want to make Daryll Dawkins' son happen. Nick Dawkins from PSU theyve given a lot of attention to.

Joe Burrow was mediocre to awful his entire collegiate career until his final season where he was phenomenal. So is it a good thing Carnell’s best season is way higher than his college average?
