Funny how this never showed him catching the ball, but, yeah, he can do the hard part of the job.

A bunch of those, he isnt really open.

On this highlight reel it appears he is a better zone WR than man WR which makes sense with his lack of athleticism. Im not sure he will be open enough for Hurts to target him much at all.

I of course still hate the trade, so Im just gonna put this out there as well.

Day 1 of free agency, Jalen Nailor signed for 3/35. The deal runs through 2028, with Nailor set to earn a $5.5M base salary and a $6M signing bonus in 2026, carrying a $8.01M cap hit.

And the eagles are potentially playing Wicks more plus gave up a decent draft pick in a draft with pretty nice prospects in the mid rounds.

Nailor was a prize of free agency. Hes a proven commodity now, and starting caliber player. Wicks stinks.

Eagles need to use this as leverage in their post June 1st trade of AJ to the Patriots. If the Patriots and Vrabel don't want the Eagles to push the NFL to investigate him for tampering then they are going to have to pay up what the Eagles want in the trade return.

Your math is terrible.

Thought I saw about 12M for Wicks. I hear its "up to", but potentially 12M is more than we could have had Nailor for. And, without the cost of the two draft picks.

Totally. We could hace had that proven stud abd major free agebt commodity Nailor abd his 30 receptions for 400 yards, instead of Wicks and his 30 receptions for 400 yards who sucks.

Going to contribute more than Dotson. And can block. Probably means AJ is leaving (which is a shame) but this guy may surprise you. OC knows him too. Only 24 years old.

3/35 > 2/15. Plus, we’re only on the hook for guaranteed money and this year it’s at most $3.6M.

Dotson is good. Wicks is not. The difference was a QB who will throw the ball. Wicks wont be getting targets here, which will actually be a good thing since he stinks. He better surprise me. It should be easy because my expectations cant get any lower.

I'm almost in total alignment with Fran's OT big board. I just think he took it to a bit of an extreme.

He ranks them as

Proctor

Freeling

Iheanachor

Lomu Miller

I'd put Proctor second of those, but otherwise, I agree having Lomu and Miller last and behind even Iheanachor.

Head scratcher tbh. I don’t mind the trade as much as what he’s allegedly getting paid. 12.5 mil is WR2 starter money and his stats certainly don’t reflect that.

I’m guessing they know something no one else seems to know?

Ok it’s starting to make a little more sense now - still a head scratcher though.

Reported NFL contracts are like the old amplifiers that said 900 watts but were only like 30 watt rms.

I understand a coach likes to bring in a few of "his guys". I was afraid theyd pay good money to Doubs, so at least they didnt do that. Thats about the only positive thing I can say.

I hate that they gave up 2 picks for him. The 5th this year could have been useful.

This guy is the definition of JAG.

The extension they gave him on top of it, even for small money is annoying. Id rather it be a 1 year and move on move.

Looks like she lied to her bosses. I, for one, am SHOCKED.

12.5 mil for Wicks for a year seems a bit steep but hes only 24 years old.

Mannion of course probably had a lot of say in it and I like wicks but if these means AJ brown is out the eagles get worse with wicks in and AJ out.

We'll see though. If AJ still stays then Wicks is an expensive 3rd WR.

I was hoping they'd draft a WR, maybe they still do.

No single WR move = AJ gone by itself, but the total moves show change at WR. Most expect Brown traded after June 1st.

Mannion getting a WR from his former team, Siri did the same with Pascal. If they think it's needed to help others learn the offense, that could be another sign that things will be very different.

Love an average sized WR with TE speed who has been unproductive so far in the league. I'm sure he'll be great.

Wicks has been fairly productive in the NFL over three seasons. Those combine numbers you listed donbt mean anything now. What he has done in his NFL career over three seasons matters. Not saying the trade is good or bad but Combine numbers for a guy that has had a decent three year NFL carreer doesn't mean anything.

What he's done in his NFL career over 3 seasons is almost nothing.
