He used to be on NFL network. He is legit.

My hope is a 2027 1st round pick straight up for AJ. I understand the Pats reluctance but it is a fair price to pay for a difference making WR. After all, what CB in the NFL can consistently hold him catchless. There are none as far as I can tell.

If we get a first-round pick--even if it's in 2028--I'd be thrilled.

For the record, a deal cannot be finalized until 4:01pm today (and it won't become "official' until tomorrow ... not sure of the exact time or why it can't be made official immediately ... perhaps because he will need to take a physical first before it becomes official).

I truly believe we should be getting at least a first for AJ. I suppose it could be argued he is declining, but last year was more KP/AJ’s attitude.

1) We gave up a mid first and a third for him. Yes he was younger but it was a mid first (likely to be late first if we trade him to Pats) and he became truly elite with the Eagles.

2) I’m not buying Eagles have no leverage. Pats need him as much as we need to get rid of him. Their current WR depth chart is poor.

3) Also not buying that Pats are the only team interested.

4) I suspect a deal has already been agreed in any event.

Sticking with my prediction of 2028 first with a 2027 conditional third or 2027 first and a 2028 conditional fourth.

Personally, if that is all NE are offering, I would simply wait things out...Philly don't gain anything by trading him straight away, compared to in a few weeks...If a 2028 1st is it, I'd say just hang fire and see what happens...who knows, another team might have a #1 WR get injured and be forced to throw their hat in the ring...and then it's a whole different ballgame!

Certainly a gamble to do that...if no injury happens or if no other team comes to the table, the Pats could lower their price. But, I guess it's somewhat telling if there's no real other team in the mix for Brown.

Eagles could play real hardball and hold onto Brown like you said, and even if no other offers come in they could keep him and put him on ice all the way up til the trade deadline and see if anyone wants him then. That said, that's just not how Howie does things. He always wants to do right by the player too...which is a good thing.

Had been holding out a sliver of hope that we could have made a deal to send AJ to Cleveland for Garrett.

Ultimately they rented AJ Brown for his four prime years, won a SB, made another, and did so at he cost of a 3rd round pick.

Tied to what? Howie holds all the cards. If he doesn't get traded he will play. He's not gonna be T.O. 2.0.

Because Brown wants to be traded, the cap hit/post june 1 thing, etc. Howie "holds the cards" but he's not a "d1ck" to his players. He always wants to do right by them, particularly players who have been good and aren't being "d1cks" themselves.

I don't think some of you understand how supply and demand work and how it shapes a marketplace for an asset.

A 2028 1st round pick is simply not enough for Brown. And I doubt that Howie does that deal.......Howie can afford to wait....the patriots can't. They need brown more than the eagles do.
