Im afraid of all the electrical issues, but Ive read one article where it seems the expensive Quadrifoligo trim level has most of the issues while the lower trims are far better.
March 29, 20214 yr I guess I just feel like we (“we” being people in general) hardly ever see those driving around because there are so many better options at the same price point

I believe the Stelvio just hit the market in 2018 and in America right now theres only 2 models. The Stelvio (SUV) and the Giulia (sedan). They are battling 2 issues. 1 is pretty new back in the US market. And 2 is the reputation from the past about poor reliability. Now Ive read there arent major things like engine and transmission issues. And reviewers absolutely LOVE driving these cars. But still, if theres tons of electrical issues, even being fixed satisfactorily...just who has time for that anyway? Id like to know from owners how much of a PIA these cars can be, or if its true that the more common/affordable models are pretty unaffected by the issues. By the way, did you watch 6 Underground on netflix? That sweet car scene in the beginning with Franco driving was the Giulia Quadrifoligo.

If so i watched when it came out but haven’t thought about it again since. I’ve bought/financed my past 3 cars (not counting older/used ones I had during like college years), but I think something like 90% of people lease new (or lightly pre-owned), and from all the YouTube stuff I watched when I bought my BMW, everyone highly recommends leasing luxury cars, especially ones that can be known for issues which usually won’t show up in the first 3 years of ownership or would be covered by the dealership during that lease window. I still chose to finance mine because I’ve always been a high mileage driver (previous 12 years or so I’m probably averaging 20,000mi a year), but thanks to COVID and working from home, my BMW went from around 9,500mi at purchase in July to 13,500mi today (on a 2018). So with the crazy low mileage I’m going to have (and since moving, I’m about 4.5mi from my office whenever we return, where in Syracuse I loved about 28mi away from work), and buying certified pre-owned with unlimited mileage warranty through 2024, I feel like I can sell at any time over the next 4 years and walk away with more money than what I owe on it.

April 2, 20214 yr Yeah...that looks like a great winter car. The Stelvio didnt happen. It was a fleeting idea. I never got past the concerns enough to even go look at it. We stuck to the plan of getting my wife the new car and bought a CR-V the next day. Picked it up today.
April 3, 20214 yr Anyone have a netgear router? Beware of the button that turns off the wifi radio.... I wasted an entire day yesterday, on with tech support multiple times. 2 trips to wal mart for new routers. And a little after 10pm I finally figured out that my MIL bumped the wifi button and turned the wifi radios off.
April 3, 20214 yr Trying new tequila. Found a source at my liquor store who is also into tequila (he/she) is from Newark. Son (Army) is visiting, he's going to turn us onto phillipino fast food. Avoiding the Yum Yum burger. Tres Generaciones. More importantly; now when the Chickie feels like buying a tequila for me without consent, she has a source. Was at Target buying the girls some play dresses and happened to be in the book section when one of those dressed in a suit young salespeople who just want a moment to get your opinion on their Target card or some s*** like that starts up the conversation with 'you must be a cowboys fan' because har har, I'm wearing my eagles gear (eagles tracksuit eagle shower shoes eagles t-shirt) I give him a look up and down that basically just says you got to be kidding. He goes on and says 'wow you have a lot of eagles stuff on is there anything that you're wearing that is an eagles?' I look him up and down one more time and just say yeah my panties aren't eagles. He literally turns the corner and walks away with the clipboard tucked underneath his arm and I know in the back of his mind he's thinking I don't want a part of that. Now you'll excuse me Billy squier just came on.

If I posted all the steps I took, the post would be way too lengthy. This wifi issue literally consumed my entire day yesterday, other my son's hour long batting practice.

April 4, 20214 yr Getting old sucks. It looks like I (hopefully partially) tore my Patellar tendon on Thursday simply by bending down and picking up a box. Wasn't even a big box, just one of the items I was loading into my super pantry. Just bent down, heard a pop and instant pain. Tried to work through it and install an outlet after I was done and it was excruciating every time I kneeled down to get to the outlet. Bend with your knees, my ass. Schmoopie just ordered me an immobilization brace for my knee. I'm hoping wearing it for 6 weeks will fix it and I can avoid a doctor trip
