My biggest issue is I’m medication sensitive and had trouble clearing the anesthesia from my system. Then the 48-72 hours post op is when the swelling and pain really hit. They gave me oxy but I’ve only taken it once because you also have to take antibiotics for a week. They make my stomach hurt so I’d rather deal with the pain and not take painkillers that make my stomach feel worse. I do have a very high pain tolerance as noted by a previous surgeon so everyone’s experience will obviously be different. I’ve been getting shooting electrical type pain around the incisions and my nipples so there is also that You have to wear compression bras for 6 weeks which sucks and also you are supposed to take it easy for that time. This is the hardest part for me. I’ve already been out driving alone and Christmas shopping, cooking breakfast, etc when I really should be taking it easy and doing bed rest. I have a hard time doing that. paco keeps trying to get me to rest but I’m always worried about everything that needs to get done and can’t shut off my brain. Prepare to be a supportive husband if she does it. All in all so far I’d say I’d recommend it! The weight off my shoulders and back is tremendous and I already fit better into dresses that wouldn’t zip up all the way before. They took close to 5 lbs off of me!

December 31, 2024Dec 31 Can a cat and 5 6 month old kittens F up a raccoon? I feed the cats and the raccoon kept eating their food. I went down to the barn the other day and this thing was laying on the driveway half dead. I dispatched it of course. But raccoons are pretty tough. Odd.

Started out with 4 now there's about 15-20 as they multiplied over.the last couple years. **** population in the woods is still strong. Trap a couple every year and put a bullet in their heads every year on front of their family to keep them in line. Once my neighbors pass the cats are in my sights. Not like trash panda style but they need to be gone. If they weren't the one thing giving my sweet old neighbors a reason to live they'd be gone.

The cat colony in our neighborhood has really exploded over the last few years. My wife has started an effort to TNR them. She’s gotten most of the kittens and adult females living with a 5-6 house radius of us, but there’s still a large male that is doing most of the impregnating that she has t caught yet. When she catches kittens she fosters them through a rescue and adopts them out. We have 2 in our spare bedroom right now. I’m glad for the population control but don’t love having the extra cats in our house all the time.
January 11Jan 11 If you notice a lump someplace, or something out of the ordinary, GO TO THE DOCTOR and get it checked out!! My uncle (85) noticed a small lump on his neck (I think), but ignored it until it began bothering him recently. Turns out to be aggressive lymphoma and treatment doesn't seem to be an option now, so we're talking weeks, up to 2 or 3 months left. Don't ignore things... and I say this not only to you, but to me too!

January 15Jan 15 I was over on the AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service) website, just browsing and this came up: Spoiler Why?
January 18Jan 18 So I bought a new 65" TV back on January 24th, 2023 in anticipation of the Super Bowl (but also because I wanted a new TV). I bought it from the Army and Air Force Exchange (website). A week or so ago, I noticed a dark band of about 8 inches wide, going from top to bottom on the TV. Of course the warranty expired on January 24th, 2024 . Last night, while still pissed about it, it occurred to me that I bought it with my credit card and many times, your credit card gives an extra year of warranty, but not all cards have that benefit. After looking, mine does. Just filed my claim, with 6 days left of my extra year or coverage. We'll see if they honor it and cover the TV.

My grandmother is silly and did not want a large TV, so we bought her a 49". It had similar issue during a warranty issue, and when replacing it, were able to get the next year's model of the same TV, in a 55", for the same price. So it worked out well!
