@Agent23 Since you have a FanDuel account, wanted to give you a quick heads up.  Tomorrows NFL sim contest allows for 150 lineups.  Might be a good way to pad your bankroll a little for when sports comes back.  (I did 10 lineups and entered each 15 times)

Just got back from my mother's oncologist. They're really happy with the results of her latest CT Scan. All of the cancer has reduced a little. So a really good report.

Was curious if anyone had any good fathers day gifts this year.

Last year I knocked it out of the park with the Bug-a-salt gun.  This year, I went a hell of a lot more practical, so we'll see if he likes it.  With the pandemic, they have been spending a ton of time at their cabin, but they tend not to go as much during the summer because of the heat and humidity.  So this year I got them a dehumidifier (from Costco, of course).

Ever try espolon tequila? It's my wife's favorite and it's not a bad price point either.

Before this weekend, I bought a total of 1 bottle of tequila in the past decade, and it was a small batch tour purchase.

But schmoopie and I went to Costco on Satruday and picked up this

I had a similar issue with them last fall - ordered a pair of scent free rubber boots that were on sale.  After the order was placed, they cancelled it with no explanation.  Called in and apparently they had switched the SKU or something internally and that resulted in the order being cancelled.   You'd think they would have a procedure in place to eliminate messing with existing orders - anyway, they were able to get me a new order placed at the same price so it worked out.

 scent free boots.

Since Bass Pro bought them they officially suck now.

The manager current managerof the gun library in Hamburg as of about a week ago is... no longer working there. In one of their largest stores, with the most profitable gun library.

They were also short staffed at the regular gun counter for a while.

They also never cared much about the online gun business. But since stores had been closed for so long and gun/ammo sales were through the roof theyve just recently learned how important it is. Theyre working a lot to improve it right now.

Meanwhile, Bass Pro is working to incorporate gun libraries in all of their stores, which they never had but are adopting from Cabela's. Big undertaking. Acquiring tons of guns for all those stores.

Bass pro historically didnt care about guns. Now maybe they kinda do. But itll take a while for them to get it all ironed out smooth again like it was when it was just Cabelas.

Bass Pro in Harrisburg used to have a "Fine Gun Room" where they dealt in used guns.  They closed it down years ago and I'm not sure what, if anything, fills that space now as I haven't gone to that part of the store since it closed.  I loved going in there and looking for deals on used guns and got a great deal on a S&W .357 revolver from them.

Yeah.  They're bringing them back in every store.

Well my oldest son got a job in the field that he studied for and is moving to Florida. I'm happy for him and he is very excited but I sure will miss him and those grand daughters.

Bright side: built in excuse to escape  the winter. Maybe a quick trip down in November and return in March
