I think Stoutland gets love because the eagles have had top o lines while he's been coach. I mean sure it's nice when one can develop a undrafted or late round guy and it's also nice when one has a lot of talent and can get the best out of those guys. Peters johnson kelce and Brooks have all been all pro under Stoutland so that's something.

I think those guys would be all pros without Stoutland.

Man look at that north/south back Bennie Snell.

Benny Snell was such a great back at Kentucky.  Another really solid draft pick for the Steelers.  They can let Connor walk and have Snell ready to roll.

Game was on at the gym.  It sucks knowing the Eagles don't have a feared pass rush anymore.  I loved those JJ days when we had no idea where it was coming from but you knew pressure was coming.  I'm over the Jim Schwartz style of defense...especially if he doesn't adapt to Slay's strength of man to man.  If he plays back like he did on Sunday all year I'm going to be furious.

Ive been calling for the Rex Ryan experiment for 2 years now, lol. I know, I know he might not even want to be a DC again but when he was, he was one of the best in the business during his time. Some are just better as a Coordinator then a HC. I would just love to have that aggressive defense again in Philly. Someone to throw some confusing concepts at the QB and not be so predictable.

If only we could pry away some of the Steelers scouting department.  The WR they draft are almost always successful, they can draft DB, LB, DL and RB too.

Peters and Kelce predate Stout. Johnson was a top 3 pick. Brooks was already an established pro when he joined the Eagles.

He lost quite a bit of weight. Every slow RB needs to follow that path — like Warren and Holyfield.

Case in point:

Torn because I want Garrett to do well to stick it to the Cockroaches but still want to see the giants fail miserably like they do every season

9 games might win this division again.

Yep, I'm still waiting on Stoutland to develop one young guy.  They tell us he is a key part in building the Eagles run game too though...

I wonder how much the delay in moving Peters to LT contributed to the s*hit show we saw yesterday.

Has any explanation been given by the Eagles regarding the strange case of Pryor?

No but Doug said that he doesn't plan to change RG

It's weird - from presumed starter to witness protection.

Barkley has 6 yards on 15 caries? Yeesh.

For what it’s worth, Hargrave certainly wasn’t the cornerstone that made that Pittsburgh DL work.

Perhaps Howie should take the hint that we’ve got too much wrapped up in run stoppers in a league that doesn’t run and not enough in rushers.

We have 2 of the best RBs in the NFL in our division.

The Clement/Scott argument is somewhat valid. I’ll give them that. But that speaks to volumes the failure of the offseason plan by the front office. They want to mimic the Chiefs, not get back to where Wentz has been the most successful.

True, but their issues were also due to the patchwork OL as well.

They were the weakest link by a landslide.

Seeing McLaurin and Slayton twice a year while JJAW's getting 0 targets hurts. I'm not completely out on JJAW yet, but I'm almost there.

You mean the 10 practices that we spent with a lineup that we were never going to use in a game, instead of practicing with a lineup that we were going to use? Yes, I think that may have contributed to the horrific mess we saw on Sunday.

On the positive side, Jason Peters got his extra $2 million. So it all worked out in the end.

You know that's a really solid point.  It seems the UDFA JAG DT's that we constantly have to call up every year hold things down pretty easily.  Rush, Ridgeway, Hector, even Beau Allen being a 5th rounder played really well.

Meanwhile, our DE's are just average year in and year out.

Did you see Chase Claypools first NFL catch?  Posted it a page back.  Already better than anything JJAW has done.

Was it really 10 practices?  That is negligence on the part of Pederson if true.

Building a defense around stopping a RB is a dangerously backwards idea.
