You mean Evan Engram dropping an easy first down catch?

Not mad, it's just the truth.

I see what you did there.  Well played, sir.  Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.  And sometimes it's better to have the other team ish the bed than be good.  Double bubble for us tonight.

Exactly, he’s like a slightly smaller Celek.  He has good hands and knows how to settle down and make a catch against zone coverages.

Richard Rodgers has been completely invisible until the past two games. You guys are nuts.

I know, just being silly but it's frustrating that the Eagles can't find a quarterback who is consistently good.  This goes back to Randall.  Donovan would look like an MVP and then play his worst games in the biggest games.

Vick had games where he looked like an all-time great quarterback but could never get it all together.

Like you said, Foles would have 3 good games and then 3 lights out.

Carson can look like poo in the 1st half and then MVP to end.

It's time for someone to be consistently good.

Someone needs to have a conversation with Lane and just shut him down. No one is questioning his toughness, but it's getting to the point where it's just ridiculous now.

I agree. It's a shame he had to suffer another injury. I get that he wants to be out there and is trying to play through the pain but you have to be smart about it too.

In all seriousness I think it's looking pretty obvious how this season is gonna go. "Good" enough to either win the division or pick in the late teens, but not good enough to do anything in January.

Being stuck in the middle is the worst place to be in sports. Not good enough to get excited about a Super Bowl, not bad enough to get excited about high draft picks and a rebuild.

I just wish one way or the other this team would just break in one single direction instead of the meddling BS.

I feel the same way. Especially when the other 3 NFCEast teams get top 10 picks.

Both of our wins have been "we are a bad football team, but I’m happy for a Wentz to lead a comeback” makes for some pretty annoying and exhausting fandom.

My wife came into the room and asked, "Are they trying to kill you?"

I'm feeling 8-7-1.

I would feel decent about that. 6-9-1 is a waste of our time

He did what he thought the team needed.  If Driscoll hadn't gotten hurt, I think he would have stayed out for this game.  But, when he went out, I think he felt the need to gut it out.

6.5, so you got me beat.  But, no chance in Hell I'm falling asleep right now so I'll be in your territory soon enough.

Frankly if Driscoll didn’t get hurt I am pretty sure Alayne wouldn’t have played. At this point you should just let him have off next week and have the pie week off and you’re at basically three weeks to rest up and heal. Granted I don’t know How bad that knee injury is. But if it’s not super bad just let him rest and get about three weeks of rest

Eagles will win the next 3 games.

I've never gotten the hatred around here for him.  He's not a stud, but he's just a steady vet.

His blocking is really bad and his receiving is just ok. For a third TE I think you can do better generally speaking

Carson fights too hard for me to root for them to go in the other direction for draft slot sake. And I don't trust Howie with his drafting anyway, so that's a crapshoot. If Wentz was half-a**ing it and looking lethargic, I could see it. But he fights hard and I want to see him win.

He was maddening to watch tonight. Some good plays and some plays that were just terrible like the throw across his body and the INT. He has it and shows glimpses of it like he did on those last two drives, but the inconsistency is frustrating. But he's working with half a deck both on the field and on the sideline. Doug is going to get him killed and can't adapt his playcalling to the situation.

I mean...the insane "Mahomes/Favre/Wentz 2017" across the body and field pass hasn't been attempted by Wentz in a while...but it hit Fulgham in the hands....99% sure Fulgham was a shocked as anyone watching that pass dart across the field, right at him.   Not a knock on Fulgham...would have been a good catch...probably would have made the catch had he actually thought it was coming his way..

Yeah, my wife definitely was shaking her head at me a lot tonight. She was probably reevaluating her life choices.

In fairness if i remember correctly he’s been injured for most of the last two years

Yep.  I said it before.  The other NFC East teams are going to be choosing between Lawrence, Waddle, Chase and other elite talent while the Eagles have to decide between the 3rd best DT or a tweener DE.

Don't know if I've ever felt more hopeless after a win. A 1-5 team handed them the game and they still barely won.

After the bye, I'd like to see them settle in with a WR corps of Hightower at Z and Reagor at X, with Fulgham and Ward platooning in the slot.

I still think Fulgham is best served navigating underneath traffic and drifting into soft spots in zone.  You can bring him out wide to make some plays along the sideline in coverage or in the end zone now and again, but I think he's going to be best served as a #3 slot type in Ward's role.  Ward and Fulgham on the field, together, sucks things in a bit.  I'd rather just one and roll with Reagor/Hightower outside.

For that to make any sense, Hightower needs to become a receiver, which he is not right now.  He just turns on the jets downfield, shakes loose, and runs under a rainbow once per game right now.  They'll need more than that.

And usually it’s a young player with some type of theoretical upside.

But he was really good tonight!

No way. This OL is one more injury away from complete catastrophe. If Kelce gets hurt, we may not win another game this year. I'm not even kidding.

Lane's injury is an additional one. He now has a knee and ankle injury per the Troy and Buck during the game

And they have no one to blame but themselves for that...and certainly not luck.

One of the best long passes all year for Wentz...

Damn, was reading today’s paper. Pope Francis’ move was bold. Wow.  He has made moves close to on par with Vatican II.

Lane Johnson was reported to have suffered a knee injury in addition to the ankle though. I'm not sure I'd say that doesn't count, at least until we know the severity of the injury.

He was in pain after three plays. You probably can’t prove it to be 100% but you also can’t convince me it wasn’t some injury from over compensating his ankle injury
