How the hell is being up by two points better than being up one point in this situation? Going up 23-21 means nothing. Up 24-21 and your chance of victory goes way up.

Basic math.

I need to go back and delete that post.  I was blogging online and looked up as they were running the 2 point conversion and misread the score.

Yeah, I'd think it would be pretty obvious at this point. Clearly a few are confused.

I’m happy that Hightower caught that deep ball, but that corner played that like an A-hole. What was he looking at?

Lol it’s embedded in our hearts and minds forever. No going back. You’re not forgiven.

That still makes no sense. It doesn’t matter if you are up by 1 or 2. You go for two points to be up 3

Although with something like only five seconds on the clock, the smart play is to just take a knee. No need to risk the other team scoring two points on some freakish turnover on the 2-point attempt. I saw that happen once in a college game about twenty years ago.

Two things need to be cleaned up ASAP:

1) the OL; and

2) the red zone play calling.

Dillard suffers a torn bicep ..... so that puts him in Watkins and Marcus Smith territory?

He was having an awful camp before and sucked last year too.

I give Ward a lot crap because I don’t like him as our third receiver, but he made some big boy catches. His touchdown was a really good playcall, but he really did a helluva job holding onto that pass. Harper got his hands around both of Ward’s arms. That wasn’t an easy grab.

Seriously. That’s soft as heck. You’re a TE now. Grow a pair.

Remember he is really a WR...

Was watching the game off and on at work but I just looked at the box score and 8 trips to the redzone for the Eagles.  3-8 is terrible.

The WRs were not the problem on offense tonight. Bad OL play, woof.

Our guard play has been pretty poor in general this year. Tonight was no different. And I think Mailata had his worst performance of the four games he's played.

Still holding out some hope that we can get Seumalo and Peters back later in the year and have them play guard. I think things would look a lot better offensively if that were to happen.

1) I’m not sure we’ll ever get there unless Johnson gets healthy and Peters can stay healthy and be a good guard.

2) I defend the scheme overall, but that was brutal tonight. I hated just about everything we did inside the 5 yard line.

The game should not have been as close as it was.

I was very impressed with Rodgers.  He gets YAC and seems to push through and run fast.  Led the team in Receiving yards today.  Also once again Travis was very consistent.  Desean definitely drew a lot of attention from D.

I wonder if they were shocked that throwing a corner fade every single play in the red zone didn’t work.

There has been just awful play calls in the redzone the last few games.

Same. I think this was his best overall game. He might have had a nicer play last year with the fade against Norman but he had a few solid plays tonight.

We conservatively should have had 11 more points tonight.

Kelse obviously agreed. That is why he purposely took that penalty in order to back them up.

I agree.  Also turned them over 3 times to 1.  Should have won by alot more.

I'm hoping Reagor, Seamulo and Goedert can come back soon.  It will help with the offense.  I'm done with Djax.  Let's play the young guys.

Butler was so passive that he gave the ref the out. If he showed any effort, easy call IMO.

That was pathetic.  Imagine making your NFL debut and having a potential touchdown pass thrown to you as your first career reception and that's how you react. 🤣

EDIT: I re-watched the play and it does look like he was being held pretty bad in his defense, but he still needs to a make a play on the ball

Robey-Coleman's effort on the long Jones run was disappointing.

He's been atrocious.

anyone else thought we'd see more hurts tonight with the injury to sanders?  dunno if it's a good thing his snaps were limited.  i think used between the 20's he could be more effective.  inside the 20's, the defense is too compact and he does not have enough room to run or create something.

i'm not a fan of the plays they design for him, but if they HAVE to use him, i prefer it in situations where it can be positive.  jmho.
