I’m more mad at Graham forgetting what the hell he was supposed to do.

The Giants scored three TDs tonight...

1) LeBlanc for whatever reason tried to strip Tate instead of tackle him.

2) Graham didn’t have contain on Jones‘ 80-yard run.

3) LeBlanc needlessly grabbed Tate’s arm for a DPI on third down.

Those were killers. The defense was really good tonight, but three bad individual plays just wiped it out.

Didn’t Chris Long say years ago that the DE aren’t responsible for containing in Schwartz’s scheme?

I don't really see the distinction.

The problem is that the game is over-officiated and there are too many unnecessary rules.

One draws laughter and a lifetime of mockery, the other doesn't.

Yup.  In this scheme, if there is a big run, it's because a LB, S, or CB doesn't fill a gap, including the edges.

On the Jones run, McLeod was out of position.

Falling down isn’t an intentional act. Wentz dove on his own accord.

I’m not defending that call vs. Wentz because that was nonsense, but that’s why they were called the way they were.

I don’t think that’s true in all cases. That looked like Graham to me. We’ve seen him make plenty of plays in a similar situation where he stayed home.

so...  when does reagor get back?

edit:

love ya for the highlights and the early years jaccpot..  but it's time.  hopefully the next guy to wear 10 will be as explosive and be as much of a threat as a young desean.

I hope he's available for the Dallas game. Him, Hightower, and Ward would be a handful for that defense.

Yea what’s the status of him and Goedert? If we get these offensive guys back soon maybe this season isn’t completely over

I haven’t fully embraced Fulgham yet. But he’s had 4 straight games of being a big time contributor. I’m definitely sold on him being a long term player here

How ya gonna leave HOFulgham out?

I'm so over Desean Jackson. Stealing money. Like Jeffery. He's done!! Glad we have some youngsters to pass the torch to or it may be a little tougher. Guys like Desean, Alshon, Peters, Sproles etc have just over extended their stay. Can't be on the club if you're in the tub. Lot of dead wood on this team, but we are finding some good depth in all of this and these injuries and that is the bright side of it all. Beats having to root for franchises like the Cowboys or Giants or Redskins. They all are pretty brutal and in hopeless states right now. There is actual growth quietly going on here. And that I am  pleased about. May pay off later, but so be it.

Wow yeah party foul. Fulgham looks legit. Reagor comes back and suddenly WR depth chart looks worthy.

Wow, another game almost lost because of absolute dogs*** play-calling by Doug.  Hard to imagine we have to watch 9 more games of it.  There has to be a change next year.

That said, I loved the comeback.  21-10, I wrote them off.  But that was fun, at least for this moment.

Also, Fulgham is a beast.  I've been saying it since camp.

Yup.  Next two games will decide the team’s fate IMO.

Hilarious that if WASH beats DAL this Sunday, and the Eagles beat DAL next week, we could be talking about the Eagles being 1 1/2 games ahead in the division at the bye, and playing the Giants again coming out of the bye.

Wentz is good. A bit of a bonehead, but a good NFL QB. We need him to be great, though, so the frustration is valid. But we could certainly do a lot worse at the position.

Said it when it happened. Career may be over, looked ugly. Hope not.

Some thoughts on the game...

-- The most encouraging thing I saw tonight was the look of disgust on Lurie's face after the go-ahead TD. He's not ignorant to the fact this team is trending downward, and that's huge.

-- I just can't see Wentz ever being consistent enough to get this team to the Super Bowl. Maybe there's a coach out there who can unlock that elusive potential; it's becoming increasingly clear that guy isn't Pederson.

-- Appeared that Fulgham ate the Giants corners' lunch. He's for real.

-- Greg Ward deserves credit. Looks like such a natural receiver and always seems to be in the right place. Nice to see him rewarded for his hard work.

-- I never want to see Boston Scott run up the gut ever again. Solid receiving back and kick returner; not a true #2.

-- I was not impressed by the defense tonight. Engram at times seemed to singlehandedly keep the Eagles D in the game. 3rd and longs looked too easy once again. A better offense drops 35 tonight at least.

was the team in the red zone 4 times and came up empty? , i know they had a missed FG , a pick and a turnover on downs. can't remember if there was a 4th but that can't happen along with doug and his early 2 point try , i get the late one but if he kicks the FG earlier the team didn't need the later  2 point try. doug needs to be better at HC and he needs a play caller

Now, now. He will run into his own men at the line of scrimmage.

He's useless but I think some of us knew that before the team brought him back in the off season.
