*19th

Does it matter?. They don't seem to get any value in the early rounds anyway.

maybe they should trade ALL their picks for 6th and 7th rounders.

Would you rather have had the fair catch now or a crumpled up DJax?  As fragile as he is, there is no reason to subject him to the punishment that comes with any special teams.  I get the concept and, in his day, he was a great returner.   This was Doug's worst call of the evening and it may be career ending.

It was so stupid to have him out there and Doug was an ignoramus the whole game, so I guess it should have been expected

I suppose there is a reason he has zero NFL receptions

I need to go back and look at that play again.  Why wasn't the ball snapped while Butler was standing out there alone?

I really think it was because Butler ran to the wrong side of the field. When he got in the correct position he may have been standing alone for a second but the defense adjusted..

Ok, they still would be picking 19th, and not 21st

Great play call on fourth down!

Kelce should continue to get 15 yard penalties when we are within 3 yards of the endzone.  The plays from the 3 yard line and in, are all very mind blowing.

Honestly a little space opens up the playbook quite a bit. BTW every time I see Kelce he looks visibly frustrated. Its not his fault that we have a decimated O-line, I just feel bad for the guy. This is not a great way to wrap up a career.

Or maybe it is lol.

Butler needed to stand his ground and high point the ball. Instead, he drifted backwards. The look on Carson's face after the play said it all.

Good news on his knee, at least

Please name someone deemed to be a good play caller that continues to have success without 9 of his starting eleven on offense.

He still calls the game as if he has all of his starters.  Call to what you have, not to what you want it to be.

I'll bang this drum again: Carson is nails moving to his right, do it a little more: deeper snap, roll right rather than the pathetic shotgun snap that has Carson engulfed before guys are even into their routes.  And, what dope of a coach calls 43 passes with this offensive line?

I noticed at one point after a play he's just staring up into the sky and you can tell he's saying "why the f am I doing this to myself"

I am hoping it does the opposite.  "I can't go out like this with these guys, I need to do it one more time with the starters."

Doug has some major brain farts but he wasn’t a dumbarse the whole game. We had nearly 450 yards of offense. We had six trips to the red zone. He didn’t make Wentz throw that awful pick. He didn’t make Elliot miss that FG.

The situational stuff was bad, but we moved the ball well for the most part while missing 8 starters.

So maybe don’t make that playcall on fourth and goal with the game on the line? It’s not like Butler has shown the ability to make that play in the NFL at any point.

I agree... But, its hard to find a run/pass balance when you are constantly playing catchup. our first half and second half stats all year have looked like mirror opposites

Why wasn't Fullgham the guy for that play?

No one, especially not me, is arguing it was a good call.

Good points.  I just feel like his play calling is getting Carson killed.  43 passes?  Let the RBs absorb some of the punishment.  Get more creative with run game.

Yes, but we were actually ahead in this game

Not sure we can with the guards we currently have playing.

Get Desean on IR and get Quinton Spain in here ASAP.

Didn't we draft some guy in the 2nd round with some crazy ncaa record percentage for winning RZ contested catches?

I’m a passing guy admittedly, but I had no problem with the ratio. We moved the ball just fine for the most part.

Why is everyone just assuming Kelce is going to retire?  He his contract runs through next year and he's still a damn good player.  I'd be very surprised if he doesn't play at least next year.  And if he loves money (like just about everyone), why wouldn't he play a few more years after that if he's still effective?

Need to IR both DeSean and Lane so they can get healthy for our playoff run!
