What an absolute waste he has been.  22 catches for 314 yards and 2 TD's.  Played in 6 of a possible 24 games.

I understand all that, but it's Doug's job to plan accordingly. I know you are not happy with the Hurts zone reads and with the bunch formation runs.

You are correct.  I am not.  But at the same time, they are working with a machine that's being held together with duct tape and bubble gum.

Between Reagor, Watkins and Hightower, we have plenty of speed.  Let them play and do not bring Jackson back when he is "ready".

Most of those stats came in 1 game too. The only consolation, if there is any, is you can cut him next year and save 5.1 million.

Good news on his knee, at least

Need to just shut him down

Not sure we can with the guards we currently have playing.

A sweep, a counter, a delay?  It can be done as obviously just handing  the ball 5 yards deep off Carson's hip and running forward is not the effective.

Yeah , not a fan of Solak but butler has about 6 inches  on the db and Carson doesn't throw it high was more  a back shoulder throw. Toss that think up let butler climb the ladder instead he basically tries to catch it flat footed.

Sure it was obvious PI and still Carson didn't do butler any favors with the location of the ball

The fade pattern is a pattern that requires chemistry between the QB and receiver.   Bad play call... It's easy to run, but hard to execute well without a LOT of practice and reps.  The QB has to anticipate the receivers end point, and the receiver needs to anticipate the QB's ball placement.

Doug has some major brain farts but he wasn’t a dumbarse the whole game. We had nearly 450 yards of offense. We had six trips to the red zone. He didn’t make Wentz throw that awful pick. He didn’t make Elliot miss that FG.

The situational stuff was bad, but we moved the ball well for the most part while missing 8 starters.

8.5.

Didn't we draft some guy in the 2nd round with some crazy ncaa record percentage for winning RZ contested catches?

Correctttt.  How is that play not drawn up for Arcega?  Doug must really be done with him.

Why is everyone just assuming Kelce is going to retire?  He his contract runs through next year and he's still a damn good player.  I'd be very surprised if he doesn't play at least next year.  And if he loves money (like just about everyone), why wouldn't he play a few more years after that if he's still effective?

He mentioned that he was thinking about it a couple offseasons ago.  Once that thought crops into the player's mind, it's really just a waiting game, and not usually a long one.  He's now 32 years old (about to be 33), has a Championship and has made quite a nice living for himself.  Plus, I think with his personality and willingness to say it like he sees it, he could slip into a broadcast job easily.   It is far fetched to see him deciding that enough is enough.

Great news for Reagor

Seems highly doubtful for him to return for the Cowboys game.  I think it would actually be a little foolish for the long term to rush him back, especially with the bye week to follow.  Save him for the Giants 2.0 game and the rest of the season.   Its not like he's not going to be using his thumb catching passes...

He's been talking about retiring for 2 or 3 years now. i wouldn't be surprised if he plays out his contract though.

The John Kruck of Football.  Get him in the booth with Mike and Merrill

They asked about Doug's confidence in Jake and he didn't bite

Just double checked that for anyone interested:

His career red-zone contested-catch rate of 68.8% ranks second among receivers in the PFF College era

I would have rather the injury been a little bit worse so he is forced to sit down.  He isn't helping the Eagles right now and is putting himself out there to get further injured.  I know that sounds like backwards thinking but I don't want him to come back from a sprain and a bad ankle.  He's risking more damage.  Shut it down.

Completely agree.  Lane just injured his knee likely compensating for his ankle.  Dillard had shoulder injury before tearing bicep.  Reagor had the shoulder before hurting is hand.  Get him healthy

Better yet, get him in and get Mike Quick out.   Quick really doesn't offer much at all.   But, I think I see Kelce going national.  CBS should be hot on his trail, their coverage SUCKS.  But, they'd need someone to team him with.   Or... get him into CSNPhilly and get rid of Barrett Brooks.  I'm tired of his act.  He acts like he's Philly through and through, but the truth is he was here for a cup of coffee, went to Pittsburgh and won his Super Bowl there as a backup.  But, to hear him talk, you'd think he'd spent his entire career here and as an all-pro.

Doug still didn't say whether they'd put Peters back at LT when he's healthy

FFS

Ridgeway is out with a bicep and is done for the season

How much was that contract?
