I still don’t think 8-8 is going win the division. Dallas lost to the rams but i would have chalked that up as a loss at the beginning of the year. I still think the winner of the division goes 9-7 or better.

It's just for fun, but curious would anyone here do it?

Absolutely not. You do not help a rival get better, especially one that is already better than your team on paper (at least on offense). It doesn't matter how average dak is. With ertz, Cooper, lamb, and elliot they would be scoring 30 points a game. Not to mention ertz would destroy us twice a year until he retired.

There is literally no good explanation for making that trade IMO.

Brooks was one of the best guards in the league, when he was with the texans.

1. Cowboys wouldn't do it

2. You trade with anyone if it ultimately makes you better.

Completely disagree. The Cowboys would be the idiots in that trade by far.

The boy in this clip is Zach Ertz, Mr. Thatcher is Jerry Jones, and I’m the mom.  So long, Zach!

Why on earth would you trade with a team inside your division if it makes you slightly better and them tons better? That trade makes it infinitely harder for the eagles to win the division.

How? They've been fantastic at drafting along the line, unlike this team. Whoever they have to replace him won't be zack martin but they likely won't be herbig either. Meanwhile, we still have a 38 year old LT, dillard is still unproven, kelce might retire after this season and who knows how brooks is going to be after recovering from another devastating injury. They would be very far from idiots

Because they are trading an elite, HOF lock for a maybe HOF TE. They are almost identical in age but when you consider the lifespan for G vs TE past 30, you are going to be getting more productive, elite years with Martin. It would give them an upgrade in the short term, but long term it benefits the Eagles way more,  mostly for all the reasons you just listed about the questions along our line plus the fact we already have Goedert waiting in the wings. Also as Eagles said, they can’t afford to give him an extension so they get less than two years of Ertz. Martin is signed through 2024.

They only do this trade if Jerry is on his deathbed and dgaf anymore. It’s also a bit of a stretch to bring in the draft and just assume they draft a competent replacement. They did draft Connor Williams early who hasn’t been good.

Yeah it’s why i trade my shirtless selfies with females for their shirtless selfies. It makes me better lol

You need to be most concerned about what's best for the Eagles if you're the GM. Operating in a way that wouldn't benefit your team because you're concerned about another team also improving is not it. Eagles did it with McNabb and they traded back with Dallas this past draft

This trade would never happen anyway. They're not trading Martin for Ertz

Broncos calling plays for Lock exactly what they should have done with Wentz yesterday. Get him outside the pocket moving instead of a sitting duck.

I wonder do reporters ask Doug or Carson about that?

They likely know there is no chance they get an honest answer to that so don’t want to waste their one question

@Don Corleone is somewhere smiling that Corey Davis is playing like a stud

I mean it's a fair question tho and it should make both of them stop and think.

Not denying that. It is a fair question, just saying some don’t even get one question during a PC. I don’t see the ones that do throwing it away when Doug is just going to give some bs, non answer.

McNabb was cooked when he was traded to the redskins, and trading picks is nowhere near the same as trading away a proven commodity.

What's best for the eagles is not improving the division's best team (on paper) while you remain stagnant. Not sure what part of that is so hard to understand. The eagles get marginally better, the cowboys get a ton better. Hooray the eagles got a little better, but now the cowboys are poised to be at the top of the east for the foreseeable future.

Carson just watched Tannehill throw that ball into the stands and thought to himself, "Damn, that pass was inaccurate."

We always talk about cowboys not being able to sign this player or that, and yet they are never in cap trouble. Add the fact that the eagles ARE in cap hell and it makes it even worse because now you have a big guard contract.

Bringing in martin does little for our line problems because we still have those problems. Great, LG is perfect. Now the questions are still LT, possibly C, and RG.

Cowboys could probably win a super bowl in the next two years if they added ertz, TE is the only weakness on offense

You probably should have just went for 2, Vrabel.

I'm all for dropping Alshon and JJAW and having him as our "big" WR.

Man Jeudy stopping on a dime and making moves. He’s going to be really good.

I literally was just thinking that. I loved Cory Davis when he came out. But he has been nothing short of underwhelming until tonight  and against us.

Jerry Jeudy is so good.
