That's part of my point that he did not need to step out with the first foot.  It was bad footwork in the back of the end zone.  The replay shows that ball dropped in there beautifully.  It's almost like he overshot it or thought it was going to sail since he let that ball go right through his arms.

He turned the wrong way. Should have high pointed  it instead of a basket catch

he will learn that comes with experience

Was he active last night and just not given any snaps?

Healthy scratch

No clue if he might be of interest with Ridgeway’s injury.

I don't think doug has any running plays for RBs in his playbook other than inside/ outside zone out of the shotgun.

I can't remember the last time I saw a counter or a trap or a wham block or lead power or counter trey or even a quick pitch

It's always inside zone or outside zone from different formations maybe some wr orbit or sweep action to dress it up but always the same. Unless its a 3rd and long draw.

The eagles run game is about as innovative as a 4 fingered glove🤔

Obviously you don't hang on my every word because I have posted several times that the OL players we have now re not capable of blocking those plays. I would go further; we almost never run outside zone with these guards. This was part of my series of posts on how good Seumalo really is. The naysayers are stuck with this running game now and don't understand why.

Can Curry fill in for DT on certain plays to gives us depth?

I'd think McGill or Williams will get a call up to replace Ridgeway - gutted for Ridgeway as he flashed something over the last 2 seasons.

Graham can too

Yep.

Interesting to see what next games O-line looks like. Peters/Pryor at RT? Herbig/Spain at G? Browns not the answer, and after last night I'm not sure why they are so protective of Opeta either.

Had hoped opeta would look better. He had some good snaps but too many times was pushed back or missed his assignment.

It was his first ever start and he looked better than Brown which isn't saying much and it's not like Herbig or Pryor weren't getting run over all game either. Rough go by the whole O line in the End though they stood tough when they needed to.

When the heck does Seumalo come back???

I only hang on some of your words 30 -35% 42 tops😉

Having said that I could see the lack of continuity of O line as an excuse as to why screens don't work but running power, leads ect doesn't require much  other then letting your guys mash.

Lining up in shot gun every play though with one RB to either side limits the available run plays.

I was watching the Panthers lineup bridgewater under center all game handing off tackle ,power ,stretch plays counters traps and roll out off of it and have great success yet DP all game, shotgun inside zone.

Honestly I don't think he has any other run plays in the book, he could have the hogs out there on o line and still wouldn't run much other than inside outside zone.

I get the game plan is going to be limited and more vanilla when they have the 7th different group of O lineman out there yet still there are other run game concepts that are less basic than inside zone that I'm sure they could figure out

He did on the strip sack to seal the game

I wonder if Eagles will kick the tires on our old friend Treyvon Hester. He was waived and reached an injury settlement with the Packers at cutdown day. Depends on the injury, obviously, I couldn't find anything on it other than it was undisclosed.

He apparently had a tryout last week with the Browns so maybe he's good to go.

Note two of the first players over to celebrate with him are Kelce and Ward.  Not buying this is it for Kelce.  He is the QB of the line and I think he deserves some of the credit we are giving to Stout.   You saw the passion he has when he looked skyward with disgust after he got that hands to the face call.  I notice Ward cheerleading a lot with teammates.  I wonder if he is becoming the leader in this group of young WRs. That’s part of winning.  I think Mills and McLeod fill that role in the secondary but that Slay is taking a role there too.  I think BG does that on the DL.    I suspect that is seen as Gerry on the LBs but if you watch the coverage teams on STs, that is Singleton and Riley.  As Singleton plays more, maybe he will supplant Gerry in that role.

Maybe I could supplant Gerry in that role, couldn't be much worse no?

I thought Gerry looked better last year when he wasn't asked to do as much

Putting him basically at MLB at about 225 pounds asking for trouble.

He looked good as a blitzer last night but in the run game he's pretty useless and his inadequacy in coverage doesn't make up for his lack in run defense.

I think he's a sunk cost at this point. I'm sure though since he got a sack Schwartz will justify keeping him as the starter for the rest of the year

I'm surprised no ones added Spain yet

Not for nothing, but Fulgham drew three penalties last night, which all obviously led to first downs.

Also, I think the failed two-point conversion with Hurts might have been a pop pass or jump pass to Rodgers, but it was sniffed out.

So he could have potentially had another 100 yard game? Or certainly pretty close to it... Not bad at all really.

They were friends, eh?   I guess Brady's reach can only go so far in NE.

Spinmeisters are working hard on this one.

Before the season, my SB pick was Chiefs-Seahawks. That could still very well happen, but I like Steelers-Buccaneers right now.

As for the NFCE, I think Dallas will win it with like 7 wins.

Dallas 7 wins? Where from? Their defense is historically bad and they now have Dalton at QB so their offense can't keep pace...

Yup. I was indifferent to the Bucs, but I’m all in on rooting against them. Just gross to add a person like that to a team.
