It was frustrating watching our coaching staff lose their cool and have no idea how to handle that. We were allowed time to substitute. It didn't have to be rushed. They need to tighten up their coaching on the sidelines from 3rd to 4th down.

Byproduct of injuries... new guys on ST that aren't normally out there.  Fipp isn't new to coaching ST.

I'm not sure that's it, and either way it's not a good excuse IMO. Plus, half of the defense was still on the field.

Fipp and Schwartz have both been around the block for a long time.  I don't think they forgot how to coach and deal with a 4th down.   Seems a little far fetched.

Maybe I’m wrong but didn’t the Giants also rush out the punt team on that play? I remember there was a lot of confusion from both teams

What is farfetched? We clearly weren't prepared to deal with it.

It was intentional on the Giants' part. There's a name for that kind of thing; I can't think of it though. Keystone something. I don't know the rules, but it seems weird that they were allowed to have 20 players on the field during that transition. Gaming the system a little for sure. If you can't have 12 players in the huddle, you shouldn't be allowed to do that. Either way, when the offense substitutes, the defense is allowed time to substitute as well. We didn't have to panic.

It was a funny thing to manage, but not something that we shouldn't have been able to do.

I’m being nit picky but I think it’s dumb we play the Giants twice in 3 games, even with a bye week in between. Things were pretty chippy yesterday between players too. Hopefully Mills or Barnett don’t do anything stupid next time.

I didnt think we had enough healthy players to be able to have 'healthy scratches"

Well he ate Mailata's lunch last night.  Looks like round 2 will be coming up...unless DP puts JP back at LT (please no).

We still have to play the Cardinals.

Yes, but it buys him several weeks.

Like McNabb in his early years.

"Well, I know for sure the Eagles have had conversations with teams about offensive linemen and linebackers that they are interested in acquiring in a trade. So that contradicts the notion that they’re going to be consequential sellers.”

OK I'm preparing for backlash on this one but is it possible Nathan Gerry isn't as bad as we think?  He played his best game possibly of his career on Thursday but it appeared that he was attacking the entire game.  Are the Eagles just misusing him?  We all know that he sucks in coverage and is often out of position but he flashed a bit and played behind the LOS.

He clearly has some sort of talent but he just doesn't fit any certain position because every position will expose some sort of weakness in his game.

With all that being said, he 100% is the worst player on defense and is helping them lose games.  Just think there has to be a creative way to use him as a blitzer or something.  Maybe he just needs to be a Bryan Braman ST demon sort of player?  Such a confusing player, like many of us have discussed how does a safety move to LB and become worse in coverage?

He’s probably not as bad as we think based on Schwartz’s comments that he looks worse because of other players’ missed assignments, but he’s still really bad.

Why trade for a lineman.  Go get Quinton Spain.
