Reno Mahe led the NFL in this stat once.  Mahe was debated relentlessly as a lousy returner.  Then that grenade got thrown into the debate one year.

Mahe was a far better punt returner than he was purported to be. He made good decisions, caught the ball reliably, and almost always made the first defender miss while moving forward, as opposed to sideways (or backwards) like DeSean. But it was cool to complain about him all the time because everyone else complained too.

I don't care how good Hightower looks the remainder of the season.  The Eagles would be silly to not add at least 1 WR in the upcoming draft.  The WR talent is just insane.

Double dip please.

Nobody wants him

He just stares at the world

Planning his vengeance

That he will soon unfurl ....

I feel like when reagor comes back that the eagles should just inactive JJAW. Go with 5 WRs on gameday of reagor, fulgham, Ward, hightower and Watkins. They had 5 WRs active vs. the giants so I’m guessing that’s their plan going forward.

I’d convert him to TE. He’s already slow, he blocks well, he’s pretty much useless as is. Pull the plug on Butler, bulk him up, and see what you got. More of an offseason project though.

He was 6'2" 225 at the combine and reportedly shed substantial weight (without getting faster) this offseason.  He's not really a TE.

I think I’ve moved from cautiously optimistic on Fulgham to full-blown optimistic.

He can play all over the formation.

He has won at all three levels (although not as much on the short stuff).

Really good body control.

Can high point a pass.

Can win vertically in the slot (see seam route be Pittsburgh, the above video where he torched his man on that obnoxious throw to DJax short of the sticks on third down).

Can make contested catches.

Hands catcher (for the most part. I think the chest catch against Baltimore was more him being surprised the ball wasn’t tipped by Peters. Those are hard catches).

I mean you could try it and see what happens. But I don’t think that’s going to save his career. I just don’t think he’s a very good player. When we drafted him I texted one of the Arizona coaches a couple days later. He was shocked he went that high. They thought he be a fourth round pick.

I would rather see what happens with Butler. Butler got injured last year and really hasn’t had that much time with the Eagles so far this year do you know what exactly he is. I thought it was a disservice by doug to throw him out there in one of the biggest plays of the game and hadn’t had a snap all game or all season on offense

I’m not expecting it to be successful. More of a Hail Mary before just cutting him outright.

Butler has the frame to add weight and plus-plus athleticism to boot. That’s what makes him a great lottery ticket at TE.

Let’s just trade him to the Jets, so we can at least confirm who the hell it was who went to bat so hard for JJAW while we were on the clock.

Don’t know if any of you were watching game 4 of the WS but wow. What a Fing game.

Caught the end. That was Daniel Jonesesque but got lucky with fielding errors

Helluva AB by Phillips. The ump gave Jensen both corners of the plate to put him down 1-2. Wild sequence.

Randy arozerena also pulled a Daniel jones around third base and smith just tried to do a swipe tag but didn’t have it locked up. Makes you appreciate how good Ruiz was in his prime.

The second strike I thought at that point Jansen had him if the umps were giving Jansen that. Not sure why smith didn’t have it in the dirt cause i believe if he would’ve thrown something in the dirt Phillips would’ve chased it. I don’t know why Will Smith had him going high. Jansen completely missed it high and it was right down in Phillips wheelhouse.

This game could be the swing game. This was an emotional, see-saw game. I wouldn't be surprised if Kershaw gets rocked tomorrow.

A quadruple doink happened today.

If I was that kicker I probably would have started celebrating even with the loss. Can’t even be mad, that’s amazing.

That's a once in a lifetime kick. I don't know if we will ever see that again.  At least they didn't lose the game on that miss. Let's  hope that Jake Elliott doesn't say "hold my beer" next week.

Definitely possible. I feel like base running mistakes in the playoffs have come up huge. The Braves with Ozuna at turn the tide of that series. Bellinger getting thrown out at third when they just got two runs felt like they should’ve had more runs than they did. Randy arozerena would’ve been the latest if smith catches that ball.

It’s possible that Kershaw gets rocked. I think it’s in the Dodgers favor that this was a 60 game season and not 162 game season. I think some of kershaw’s problems in the postseason is by the time he gets to middle or end of October he’s pitched 35 starts. He’s already not clutched by then he’s also likely tired from that many starts. Now since it’s only 60 he’s had maybe 12 or 13 starts. He should feel like he’s in midseason form when he is at his best.

Roberts doesn't manage World Series games very well. He should not have put Baez back out there in the next inning after the Dodgers got Baez off the hook.  When Baez gave up the HR to Kiermaier to tie the game was a big moment in this game that will be overlooked.  Roberts also didn't manage Game 2 very well. If the plan was for Dustin May to pitch most of the innings, then he should've started that game. The had already burned through 3 or 4 pitchers and some of those guys could've gone longer, but once May didn't have it they left him out there to give up multiple runs.

He’s never been a great manager of his bullpen. It’s been the dodgers biggest issue when they’ve gotten to the World Series. That said jansen has been a disaster a bunch of times in the World Series. I’m not sure how much faith you can have in a guy being top 4 all time in blown saves in the postseason. Frankly reminds me a lot of Jonathan Braxton who always had issues with the Phillies and in the playoffs.

That said i didn’t think the rays did a very good job tonight either. If that game happened to go to extras they were down to one pitcher. Add on i though cash went to his end of the game guys way too soon. It nearly backfired on them as the 7th Inning they were fortunate it wasnt worse thanks to bellinger.

Jansen tends to struggle when he pitches around batters to get to someone else. With him, either you have to straight up intentional walk a guy or you have to let him go after the batter.  He really got two gift strike calls against Phillips before he singled.
