Watching the DK Metcalf chase down, you have to love and appreciate the kid just never gave up on that play and chased Budda Baker down to make that tackle. nickel Roby Coleman Had a chance to do the same thing last game to Daniel Jones and slowed down on the play and basically gave up.

Impressed by Metcalf chased down the ball carrier.  Still can't get over why we picked JJaw over DK in the draft.

Just say "NO" to John Ross.  He was a terrible risk when he came out in the draft.  He's even more of a risk now, even if the cost is cheap.  His age from birth date to now isn't the issue, the issue is the amount of scar tissue in his knees, and sundry other parts of his body.  He may be only 22 or 23 on paper, but his body is as badly broken down as Desean's.

Hey guys, I'm not sure, but I think a lot of people in here wished we had DK Metcalf. Maybe if a few more make posts that we should have taken him over JJAW, we can reverse time and correct it. I could be reading the room wrong though.

Interesting stats from Peter King's column:

Clowney has not had a sack this season.

In fact, Clowney has not had a sack since Week 10 of 2019, for Seattle against San Francisco. That means:

• Clowney is sackless in nine straight games.

• Clowney is sackless in his last 37 quarters.

• Clowney has made more than $6 million to play football since his last sack.

That's his punishment from God for his cheap hit on Wentz.

Ben Watson’s chase down of Champ Bailey years ago was even better.

Murray is the scariest QB when he decides to run, since vick....but murray is better

Because Howie wants to make sure that folks on the EMB have plenty of things to complain about incessantly.  He did it as a public service.

Clowney is a classic guy who has all the talent in the world, but no fire in his belly.  He demonstrated that at South Carolina, yet the Texans drafted him #1 overall thinking that they could inspire him to greatness.  Nope.  Seattle thought it was the culture in Houston to led to his lackluster totals... and that they could fire him up.   Nope.

He's a dirty player, who picks and chooses when he'll play hard.   He is Albert Haynesworth 2.0.

Where exactly is the punishment to him?   I read he's made $6M while doing practically nothing.   How's that a punishment?

Maybe he could just ask Dr. Strange to help him out.  Perhaps in the alternate time universe, it wouldn't cause the destruction of everything for him to be drafted by the Eagles.    Then again, maybe it would.     And maybe Howie knew that... and that's why he didn't draft Metcalf.    Maybe Howie is Dr. Strange.   🤯

Somebody in here tried to argue with me that icing a kicker is silly. I dont remember who it was but if you are reading this, you are silly.

Go look at the data. One observation does not demonstrate jacksh**. Just this weekend, for both college and pro games, I saw time outs called and the subsequent kick was made.

Data are important.

On paper, the Eagles should handle Dallas.  However, this is the Eagles and it is a rivalry game.  The Eagles always seem to be the team where an event that has never happened, or something that hasn't happened in a long happens to finally break against the Eagles.  Think longest FG ever to lost to TB, or the NFCCG against TB, WFT first ever win without a team name.

They also seem to lay eggs against teams that have no business being in a game.

This week we have rookie QB Ben DiNucci most likely starting his first ever game in the NFL.  It's the perfect scenario for a quarterback who has no business winning a game to come out and win.

The Eagles should do everything they can to get pressure on him.  He's playing behind a battered line.  Jim Schwartz should get creative and disguise the defense.D-line stunts, LB, slot corner blitzes.  Confuse the rookie, don't let him get comfortable or have any time.  We saw last week that Gerry played really well attacking.  Singleton plays well attacking.  Bradley is good attacking.  Taylor doesn't have a clue yet but play him downhill and use his speed.  Maddox was a great slot blitzing corner at Pitt.  Mills has proven he can time a blitz.

I get the feeling however that JS is going to assume the front 4 can win against a beat up o-line.  He's going to sit back and say they need to focus on coverage.  Problem with that is outside of Slay, the Eagles can't cover.  In a game where the Eagles D should dominate they are looking at potentially getting picked apart.

On offense, this game screams as a coming out party for Carson, Hightower (is Regor possibly back?) and Fulgham.  Dallas can't cover anyone.  That's what should happen.  DP instead is going to focus on getting his running game going.  Carson will never get on track and the Eagles fail to score more than 17.

This is just a gut feeling I have based on past Eagles performances where they should win and win easily.  They always seem to do head scratching things when the game should be easy.

I'm half kidding with this post but also nervously thinking it could actually happen.

Seeing some in the Media meltdown about the Dalton hit, and yet most had Zero to say when Carson was knocked out by the Clowney hit.

Lol I am on this message board every day I just don’t post a lot. I also know you are a Pitt fan and I just gave your team a compliment. Do you know how to do that?

I wouldn't go overboard on that. He's also the same guy who caught a bomb earlier this year and slowed down to showboat while cruising into the endzone, only to have the ball stripped by an opposing player before he got to the goal line.

Data are important.

Not to mention that kickers just miss kicks sometimes.   Elliott missed a 29 yarder on Thursday.  A PAT was missed at the end of the Browns/Bengals game.  Kickers just flat out miss from time to time.  I don't think the icing versus the non-icing is in any way a factor.  Good kickers make way more kicks than they miss... icing them doesn't matter.   Bad kickers are just as likely to make the second kick as they were to make the first... but equally likely to miss the first, as to miss the second.   I suppose icing a 'bad' kicker might work because it gives the kicker more time to think about it... but I think its just one of the things that coaches do that really doesn't mean anything, but every now and then, a kicker will miss after an icing, and the confirmation bias will make them say... "See, I knew it worked."

Murray is probably a bit faster than Lamar.  I don't know that he is as fast as Vick was but he's a better passer.  He's much harder to defend because of his speed.
