Murray is probably a bit faster than Lamar.  I don't know that he is as fast as Vick was but he's a better passer.  He's much harder to defend because of his speed.

I don't see that at all. I watched the Cardinals games the past two weeks, and my primary observation was that he's kind of erratic. He's a dangerous player for sure, but primarily because of his amazing quickness and elusiveness more so than as a pure passer.

Joe Webb left deep scars.

There should be a mask for this name, I don't ever want to see it again. It's why I always assume the eagles will lose to a backup QB. Joe Fing Webb on Tuesday night football. Makes my skin crawl

I did laugh hard at Russell Wilson finally getting got when doing his cheeky dump off pass that teams never quite get to.  Props to Metcalf for that recovery tackle though; a lot of players would be nah bro, pick 6.  It's just nice to see the Seahawks lose like that and the smirk get wiped from Carroll's face.

I wonder if the league will fine Carroll again for not wearing a mask properly

He's Pete Carroll; he'll complain, stomp around and the NFL will think it's not worth the effort.

I mean that he's a better passer than Vick was at this point in his career.  He's much more accurate and seems to be a decent decision maker.  I mean Vick's completion percentage hovered closer to 50% than 60% for much of his time in Atlanta.

I hope not.

Why?

He won't have a job next season.

Good.  He's been stealing money for years.

Just got the notification they activated the 21 day practice window for Peters and Reagor. Will they actually put Peters back at LT?

In recent days, I've been accused of being overly critical of Greg Ward.

I'd like to share a very positive article about him and say that without him this year, this team would be winless.
https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/greg-ward-assuming-key-veteran-role-eagles-wr-room

That said... he's not in his proper role as a guy that the team is forced to count on to win games week in and week out.  That's not his fault, that's the fault of Howie Roseman.  Its good to see him providing what he can to the team though.  He's doing everything he can.  But, he has a ceiling, and I think we've reached it.

I wouldn't go overboard on that. He's also the same guy who caught a bomb earlier this year and slowed down to showboat while cruising into the endzone, only to have the ball stripped by an opposing player before he got to the goal line.

Still the effort he showed last night on that play as a guy who didn’t give up on the play when a bunch of players like NRC would just coasted to make it look like they didn’t give up. He traveled 114 yards to track down baker. And the guy who stripped him before he got into the end zone also deserves to be commended for his effort on not giving up on the play. He’s also not the first guy to showboat and get caught. Dumb he did that but doesn’t take away from the all out effort he showed last night on that play.

Time and time again we hear/see stats that masks "dont work that great"

WGAF about these masks.

New Jersey has extreme mandates, extreme rules/laws on wearing a masks and yet were still getting thousands of cases a day.

Just save it with the masks B.S.

Oh. You're one of those. Never mind then.

Hey guys, I'm not sure, but I think a lot of people in here wished we had DK Metcalf. Maybe if a few more make posts that we should have taken him over JJAW, we can reverse time and correct it. I could be reading the room wrong though.

It’s ok i built a time machine out of a deloran

They had better not.  For a variety of reasons:

1 - Mailata is better than Peters at this point.  Even when Mailata has a bad play, its a chance for him to learn from it, whereas when Peters has a bad play its due to him breaking down.

2 - Peters will break down again this year.  So, moving him to LT and shelving Mailata would be a temporary fix that could have a more permanent solution.  The most important thing for the OL is to have some semblance of consistency so that they can develop some sort of chemistry and cohesion.

3 - OG is the biggest problem on the team right now.  (although, if Pryor is playing RT, that's debatable).  I don't know that Peters is an upgrade at RG, but it would be better to try to fix that hole than create a new one.  Get Herbig back to LG where he worked well with Mailata, and insert Peters at RG, where he practiced in the summer..

Taking Mailata off the field is bad for both the future of this OL and the present.  It would be a huge mistake.  And if Stoutland has anything to say about it, I don't think he'd do it, even with how much he has respected Peters' play at LT over the years.

That's the best news the Browns could have hoped for though.

If they are going to reinsert Peters into the lineup, then it has to be to replace Opeta or Brown or Pryor.

Neither tests nor masks are 100% effective in preventing the spread of the disease.  Tests are frequently wrong and show both false positive and false negative results.   Masks work in some situations but people take off the masks. They are also not air tight.  There is no credible news story that says masks don't work.   Masks do help prevent the spread of the disease.  It's just such a contagious disease that masks are not 100% effective.

Carroll works as part of a business that has mandated mask wearing.  He has to follow the rules or be fined.  It's that simple.

Yes - I would think the best place they could put him would be LG for now.  Opeta was a disaster and did not seem like he could anchor at all against the pass rush.

Actually, its terrible news for the Browns. $13M becomes guaranteed third day of the new league year in March. He won't be healthy by then now so they can't cut him otherwise his $ guaranteed for injury only kicks in. This locks him onto their roster next year unless they can trade him.

It is but it might actually be true on the field. Mayfield had his second highest completion percentage of his career of 79% after odell left the game. I get it’s the bengals but mayfield had a QB rating of 135 and 5 tds. Also peoples-jones looked really good in the game yesterday. He was much more willing to spread the ball around to all of his options. He didn’t have to specifically target odell to get him his targets.

I think Pederson has said that he expects Mailata to stay at LT even when Peters is health.
