So, 4.79 sec isn't athletic and fast to you from a QB?

No. It's enough to scramble out of the pocket, but he's not going to beat a LB on a foot race.

And he's not a big guy, Wentz probably runs 4'8, but he's also 6'5 240 with exceptional agility and body control (which is how he escapes so many sacks).

Hurts is a good example of an athletic QB, he'd scare me as a rookie because of his great elusiveness and power as a runner, as well as his experience in big games (playing for both Alabama and Oklahoma). He might have trouble making reads, but he could pull the ball down and run for 100 yards if you try to go man against him.

These crucial catch hats make me think of woody Harrelson in white men can’t jump with his backwards multicolored hat

Read the second sentence...."This isn't some athletic QB who can make plays and befuddle an offense that's never seen him."

Yeah... that's afan's assessment, I'm not sure that accurate based on the scouting report offered.   That said, I have no idea what to think of this kid.  But, I saw a projected 4.79 second 40 and the scouting report mentions grit, improv and arm strength.  Sounds like he could be Clint Longley and have a puncher's chance.

Yeah... but where was that when Carson was hit with a cheap shot that was twice as cheap?

:crickets:

Oh for God's sake... The Wentz hit was definitely dirty, but the Dalton hit was significantly worse. The Foles hit from years ago was more egregious since he wasn't even part of the end of that play. The Wentz fanboyism is getting out of hand.

I don’t know, he has a pretty smooth chest pass. If he can get his bounce pass down he’d be a decent PG

Did you watch the second throw?

Daniel Jones ran a 4.82 and outran the entire Eagles defense until he gassed himself.

The term racism has no meaning anymore.  If you disagree with someone, call them a racist.  It's that simple.  Drive it like you stole it is a common saying all over the place.

What does drive it like you stole it have to do with the picture and caption posted?

How much have you seen of this guy play that you are going to declare his lack of athleticism?  I've seen none.  But, I'm not the one being cocky about him.

wrong thread.

theres not really 1 "good" team in the NFL that im impressed by.

"Like you stole it" is just a figure of speech. When people steal things, they try to make a fast getaway and evade capture. Has nothing to do with race.

Yes but it didn’t fit my narrative

Fair enough.

Didn't know that OBJ's had only 2 seasons of going under 1k yds. I don't want him because of his age but it's still something for other teams to look into

About this new guy...

Tell that to the person who posted the photo and caption.

Does anyone else think this MNF crew is terrible? Better than Booger and Tessitore but still crappy.

The crazy thing is ESPN already has probably the best football broadcast team out there, but they work on Saturdays. They should just have Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler do all the MNF games.

Personally, I've never heard the phrase.

Yup... ESPN's college coverage is WAY better than MNF... Same for CBS... though on a smaller scale.

Pretty common

It’s a common phrase.

These rules analysts that these networks have are the absolute worst and they're cowards. Tell us what the correct call is, not that you think it could go either way or that you could see why they would make or not make a call. It's objective, not subjective. It was either holding in the end zone and it's a safety, or it's not. Stop babying the refs if they missed the call.

I think they’re ok. Last years crew was absolutely brutal, would Mute it often.
