Let's see what the Eagles look like in December before jumping to conclusions, they wouldn't be the first team to limp through the first half, get the walking wounded back, and go on a playoff run.

Just getting Seumalo and Lane back healthy would make a huge difference, and with the emergence of Fulgham, getting a healthy Reagor with some games under his belt, and Ertz and Goedert and Sanders back would take this offense from the bottom to top five.

IMO the needs for this offense are a big RB an interior lineman and a TE. I have no problem with the WRs if Reagor is the real deal.

On the D it's LB, LB, CB and LB

Just send Bill O'Brien highlights from Alshon from in 2017.

What good would that do? Isn’t Bill O’Brien home on his couch these days?

I really want to see what Mailata looks like beside a good guard.

Said it all the time growing up, not once did I have a racist thought when I said it. Don't say it now because frankly my friends and I don't drive fast anymore, at least not like those days (how I survived was only by the grace of God)

Down south we said drive like you have moonshine in the trunk. Hate moonshine.  Put my squeezins in a barrel and age them.  Also said run like you got the devil on your tail.  Think you’ll see that referenced by some CA bands’ songs from the sixties and early seventies with some country/bluegrass influence and in a few southern rock band songs as well. The "stole” reference must be a northeast thing.

Still get the urge to put the petal to the metal sometimes but not as much anymore.  Since I retired, I rarely tend to be in a hurry anymore.

Eagles cant beat a high school team, they suck, i think they suck

But theyre going to make the playoffs and F us out of a good draft pick. Thus the 2nd tier.

I am a fan, I like to watch them play, and have a chance to win.

Not sure you can say the above with a straight face.

Word down here in HOU is that Fuller and Cooks are available via trade.

No more injury prone WRs, please.

Despite the 2-4-1 record, I'm quite sanguine about our prospects, particularly with the assistants on the coaching staff. Matt Burke has done a really good job with the DL, Aaron Moorehead has been a revelation with the WRs - after what seems like decades of ineptitude. The young LBs seem to be coming on, a credit to Ken Flajole, and, of course, Jeff Stoutland is as good as it gets. Considering what he's had to work with and the number of changes he's had to deal with on the fly, he's been great. The TEs have been quite serviceable, considering they're PS products so kudos to Justine Peele. Play design has been fascinating to watch develop, though still a work in progress.

And they have grit, which I attribute in large part to Peterson.

FYP

We don't need to trade for any receivers.  Let Reagor, Watkins and Hightower play.  They need the reps and to build chemistry with Wentz.  This is a perfect year to play them and see what they have.  I have hope at least 2 out of the 3 will pan out.

I think Manuel is doing an amazing job considering what he is working with. Has taken some time for his scheme to mesh with Schwartz’s.  He and Frajole need some resources next year to round things out.

He's the much more expensive version of Gerry for the Cowboys.

Yep.  That's been my feeling all along.

First 2 weeks Carson held us back.  Then injuries mounted as he has been rounding back in to form. At some point we get a few guys back healthy and he's playing well enough again we will be dangerous.

I'm all in on bringing in a LB or CB at the trade deadline.  This is not a lost season as people began declaring by week 2.

Oh yeah - I forgot he was fired.

I was one of the negative ones earlier in the year that jumped down Carson's throat.  I thought he played terrible the first two games but the first game, the OL was terrible too.  They were both to blame.  I agree with what you said above.  My fear is that as soon as we get our team back and start playing well, another major injury or two is going to occur and screw us all over again.  I should not think like that but after the last 3 years, I am kind of programmed to.  How nice would it be to get to the playoffs healthy one freaking time??

Everybody that lives in philly safe after last night?

I don't mean to seem rude but can we keep that conversation for the CVON thread?  This is going to stir up a lot of debate on this subject.  Please and thank you.

I love fuller but the guy is always injured. When healthy he’s great. Surprisingly he has been healthy so far this year but it’s inevitable he’s gonna get hurt.

Im a fan. Winning this season would hurt more then help our future.

I like Superbowls. not getting crushed in home playoff games we cant even go watch

Not sure how it hurts anything, since, we obviously have issues drafting anyway. Playing for draft picks is just stoopid. Lets play to win.

LB, RB, CB is my preference. But look at Pittsburgh, they are unquestionably playing great, complimentary football right now. I would almost guarantee they won't be able to sustain it, and will likely falter in December/January. It matters when you get hot as a team, and when you get healthy.

Well the answer here is easy, he's not actually a fan.

Just curious, dont know how many on this board actually live in Philly. Hope everyone is ok. I dont go into CVON, too much of a cesspool of an echo chamber
