I agree with you. If we're making trades, I'd want to either stockpile draft picks, or bring in an LB/RB/CB. And of that group, preferably a guy or two who could be locked up for a few years. I ultimately don't think it happens, but one can hope!

Looking at some of the teams that would be sellers at the deadline at corner, it’s not very pretty.M. Plus if they do have them probably get a pay a premium price for them and I don’t see the Eagles paying that price. They don’t have the luxury of trading high-end draft picks. I think linebacker is more doable because I think you can find a team thats a sellers At the deadline and willing to move on from an average to slightly above average LB for a middle to late round pick.

at running back, the interesting name I would go after his kerryon Johnson. He’s no longer in the rotation for the Lions. He still young and on a rookie contract. I think he’d be fine as a backUp behind Miles Sanders and if Sanders misses a week or two he’s capable of being a starter. The only reason he’s not is because Matt Patricia is an idiot and using Adrian Peterson over him who has no future with the club after this year. Swift and Johnson would be a nice 1-2 but seemingly Johnson is nowhere to be found.

I remember when he said to play significant snaps for us. He was awful

Bad judgement both on and off the field.

Agree fully on Kerryon, though he has injury concerns. I guess if he didn't he probably wouldn't be available.

False. Top 15 were just fine. Last 15 in the first round have been terrible

Carson Lane Fletcher.. compared to Marcus smith, Nelly, Dillard

the only one that has worked has been cox. you don't realistically think they are picking top 2 or 4 this year do you? that's what carson and lane were.

Problem is Jerrah, when you are looking, it isn’t in a mirror.

Well, shut up and let me answer. No. . . . You’re not asking me that,” Jones said, via Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News. "I gave you the answer. When I go into the locker room, there’s no leadership void in my eyes. Now, that’s your answer. Let’s move on.”

I’d take Scarbrough too

Agreed. I’m guessing if he didn’t have the injury concerns they probably wouldn’t have went Swift. But if I’m able to get him for a fifth round pick I’m willing to take that chance. I think he’s better than anybody on the Eagles at running back besides miles Sanders. Plus I don’t have to run an Miles Sanders into the ground when he does come back because I think Johnson can give you a good 6 to 8 carries a game. Corey Clement and up until last game Scott weren’t even giving you 6 to 8 good carries

Idk I’m not really willing to trade an asset for Scarbrough. If i am going that type of back i might as well see what i have in Holyfield who’s been on Ps and knows the offense better than scarbrough would

I'm not even sure who would be their leaders without Dak in the room.  Elliott?  He held out and went to Mexico until he got the new deal that he wasn't even due for.  Demarcus Lawrence and Jaylon Smith?  They've been invisible since they got paid.  LVE?  He's usually hurt and out of the lineup.  Ditto Sean Lee.  Their OL is 3/5 on the shelf.

Is Johnson in his 2nd or 3rd year? I'd give up a 5th as well, maybe even a 5 + 7 with a chance for it to increase to a 6. Clement oddly looked....a lot more nimble last game. But who knows with him, and I feel like he's a walking injury waiting to happen at this point. I am intrigued by Huntley, who looked like he had a little burst to him last game. I'd much rather see what he can do than what we know Clement provides.

It seems to be a big problem for them. For all the criticism of Doug, both right and wrong, he is a leader of men and the players do all seem to trust in him.

Found this little gem out today:

Last season the Packers were one of the better teams in football. They had a great record, they were fairly healthy and they had a dynamic defense. Rodgers had a fantastic season. The sports world agrees with this.

Now I know that this isn't the perfect stat and it has its flaws, but Rodgers had a LOWER QBR for the entirety of last season than Wentz (who was just barely out of the top 10 in '19) currently has, with a decimated offense.

Maybe Wentz isn't the problem.

And no, this isn't to say that he hasn't made mistakes or that he's played great, but rather point out that juuuuust maybe, he needs some form of a team (offense, particularly) around him.

Said the same thing about Huntley yesterday. I’d much rather watch a ImgPlay then watch Corey Clement. I like hunt. I got a watch him when he played at the Arizona bowl out here a couple years ago. He was the most electric player in that game that day. He had a return for a touchdown in the offense he was really good. he reminds me a lot of Mostert. Both ran around a 4.3 40 yard dash. I do think Huntley test it out a little bit better as an athlete at the combine than what mostert’s numbers were at his pro day. But they’re very similar in their style and they’re very similar and body type. I’m not saying he becomes that but that’s who he reminds me of when I watch him on college highlights and Eagles games when he’s gotten playing time (has a lot of early westbrook receiving and special teams ability to his game)

such a dumb comment.

The chances of missing on a mid 20 pick and top 10 are light years away from each other.

And yet we still miss on them regularly. So? We have like a 40% hot rate on 1st round picks the last 30 years. No matter where we pick.

I like how he goes after the ball. Even if it's high or to the side. Also love that he will fight for YAC

Tanking isn't really a thing in football.  Drafting early isn't a consistent formula for success.

This isn't basketball, where you only need a couple superstars to become championship relevant.  You need a QB, a couple of playmakers on O, a solid Oline, a pass rusher or two, a competent secondary.  Trading away talent to get better picks only means you need to hit on those picks to replace the talent.

Next, the players put their bodies at risk and work too hard to just mail in a game performance.  These guys have been programed to pay-to-win since pee wee.

Finally, almost everyone enjoyed the run last December.  I'd happily see another playoff run.

They enjoyed it up until the draft came around

I had high hopes for Corey after the Super Bowl win but they have been dashed significantly since then

I overlook him as well

Ugh.  What a waste of a roster spot.

Barely doing anything and already hurt his calf. Good thing he’s on the roster or this season would be in trouble.

What good would that do? Isn’t Bill O’Brien home on his couch these days?

We could still trade him for his universal remote and a candy dish. Universal remotes come in handy, and hey, who doesn’t want some candy??

Wanting a bad team, with a sh!t future to get there guys surgeries now and a better draft pick is common sense lol.

If that is what you want you are watching the wrong team in the wrong sport.
