We could still trade him for his universal remote and a candy dish. Universal remotes come in handy, and hey, who doesn’t want some candy??

But the candy is going to be those candy dots you end up eating more paper than candy

Ugh.  What a waste of a roster spot.

I’d be willing to bet five bucks that after the trade deadline passes he gets put on IR if he’s still here which is very likely.

Closing in on a year since Alshon last played

Barely doing anything and already hurt his calf. Good thing he’s on the roster or this season would be in trouble.

beginning to think that he's sandbagging

Doesn't sound like he even wants to come back.

Not sure how it hurts anything, since, we obviously have issues drafting anyway. Playing for draft picks is just stoopid. Lets play to win.

Steelers, Patriots, Ravens seem to be consistently good and they pick behind us every year. 👍👍👍

Isn't that just our luck.  Interesting that the Ravens would have interest however.  I think Andrews and Boyle is a pretty prolific 1-2 punch at TE.  Both offer such different skill sets and it works well for them.  Did someone get hurt?

They have interest because he’s a really good player. Can’t have enough of those. For the life of me not sure why the F everyone is in a hurry to get rid of our all pro TE ? Cripes ...

He's a declining player who is playing like crap this year and seems to have other things on his mind.  Ertz's game is not going to age well.  He's just going to become a big slow slot TE.

Ugh! Ok, let me think it over a bit.

Yup. Even though he’s "more determined and motivated than ever.”

I guess it's good work if you can convince your boss to pay you for doing it.

He’s not declining. He may not be playing well but who the heck on our team is? He’s been consistently double teamed all year because of what we’ve been putting out at the skill position players. The lack of respect the guy gets is brutal.

Plus, he should be paid like a top TE because he is one. We paid Javon Hargrave like a top DT and he ain’t done ish.

Found this little gem out today:

Last season the Packers were one of the better teams in football. They had a great record, they were fairly healthy and they had a dynamic defense. Rodgers had a fantastic season. The sports world agrees with this.

Now I know that this isn't the perfect stat and it has its flaws, but Rodgers had a LOWER QBR for the entirety of last season than Wentz (who was just barely out of the top 10 in '19) currently has, with a decimated offense.

Maybe Wentz isn't the problem.

And no, this isn't to say that he hasn't made mistakes or that he's played great, but rather point out that juuuuust maybe, he needs some form of a team (offense, particularly) around him.

Wentz starting slow is a problem.  I think a fixable one, but a problem.  Wentz’s fumbles are a problem.   His unwillingness to throw the ball away can be a problem. All fixable but year three (4 if you count his year as asst.) of Press as QB coach raises the issue of whether he is that capable in that capacity.  Maybe Press needs an assistant coach.

Looks like he's doing the same thing Jackson did years ago during a contract year and not put too much effort in

But what’s his 40 time ??

Cool. BG is better than Joey Bosa. (Average 6 and 2 is 4, 5 and 7 is 6 so the math proves this is true - for all those that took Logic in college).

Couldn’t disagree more. When the team is playing like crap appearances can be deceiving. Giving a F would be the least of our problems especially with Ertz.

There are lots of national sports "experts" shaming the hell out of the Cowpies. If they have Any self respect they could come out hard.

Eagles need punch them in the mouth early.

Because he can’t run any more.  Let’s face it, a year in, that foot is as healed as it is going to get.  Problem for them is that he cannot be put on IR because of the foot.  The calf was a golden opportunity.  Need his spot for Reagor.

They could but I just don't see it with them. It's night and day when you compare them to the Eagles. Eagles go down big against Steelers and Ravens but rally back and never quit. Dallas just quits when they go down by two scores. Players visibly give half effort. It's like a whole team of Jamon Browns over there. Only way you overcome that is with coaching. McCarthy doesn't display much confidence to get his team to fight, at least in my opinion.

Three defenders but really only double coverage. Nice use of motion.  Sure thought we would see more presnap motion with Scangarello.  I blame Marty.

If he should be paid like a top TE it shouldn't be by the Eagles.  $63M over the 2021 cap as it stands now; some guys are going to have to move on, and he's one of the most logical candidates.

If Ertz was Old Yeller, then Howie would have just shot him already.

I hope you're right but embarrassment is a strong motivatior. At least in the short term.
