Why? He wouldn't dress for us.

baseball bros, looking at hitters' success against each pitcher tonight, who might be the most likely to hit a HR?

I have a 100% profit boost for tonights game. So something like Betts to hit a homerun at +400 and a 100% profit boost seems worth a try.

I dont follow baseball. Is there some stats website that might show who is the best bet to hit against these pitchers historically?

I mean I know we all complain about a lot of stuff in here...some has merit while other times we are just venting and being negative but what the heck to the Eagles see in Brown to first of all bring him back to the PS but now protect him???  I just don't get it.

Im not gonna defend Brown. But I will say that we have seen some new OL inserted in to our lineup look absolutely Jamon Brownish in their 1st game, and by game 2 Stoutland has them whipped in to shape and suddenly they are adequate starters.

Theyre may still be something there that we havent seen yet. Small chance. Based on nothing Brown has shown. Its all about Stoutland.

Injuries. He’s bad, but he knows the offense and can play in a pinch Sunday night against some bad DTs.

That’s not why, but you’re too dense to understand why it’s a better metric than simple counting stats.

I’ve wasted enough time with you today.

I don't like Schwartz because he keeps starting Nate Gerry.

I seem to remember him having some fans in here.

Not the case, but if I here Ertz needs surgery but can play with it if he needs to, he's not playing. He's getting surgery.

Look at Lane, they said he needs surgery. But HE COULD TOUGH IT OUT. Why the F do you want to tough something out for a 4... MAYBE 5 win team.

Surgery is BS - he can fix it with his mind.

we have meatmcginley believing that no one ever needs surgery, or to miss any games for any injury. And then we have young beast wanting to quit the season just so everyone can get some surgeries.

Brown being protected may mean that Lane, Driscoll and Peters aren't close to playing yet. We only have seven guys who are healthy, so I guess they will call him up rather than leaving a game day roster spot open. DT and Oline are looking a bit thin right now, whereas we are mostly healthy at other spots.

Eli Apple waived yet again.  Bust rate for first round CBs is second only to the bust rate of first round WRs.

QBs seems pretty high too.  Would you qualify Winston and Mariota as 'busts'?   I would.  They sure didn't meet their team's expectations for them and so they were let go without a second contract.

Brown is protected as he "knows the system". He doesn't play it well.

As for trades, 2nd/3rd year players on a rookie deal will fit the bill. I don't think the birds will trade high picks and for big salaries. Just not an option with such a threadbare roster.  They need to be smart

Probably either Wentz or Doug put him up to it.

Nah... McNabb's fault.

Interesting Tales from the Blindside today. Jackson pushes for Peters to play RG since he practiced there. Herremans and Thomas said to put him at LG and really downplayed the practice angle. Both think he would be fine.

I think putting him at LG and Herbig at RG would be the ideal lineup until Seumalo returns.

Awesome vibes from Moorehead. Think the team got that one right.

I don’t think anyone is expecting any of those 3 to play this week. I get the reasoning of protecting him as depth, I just really doubt teams are clamoring for Brown who they just cut last week and didn’t get a whiff from anyone

I would add a guard to that, but don't need a trade.  Quinton Spain just sitting out there.

Makes you wonder why doesn't it?

Yes. Anyone in the top 10 that’s a backup by their second contract are busts. Always the chance they can eventually shed the label though.

Ouch. Cowboys paid around $3M for 7 games and all they got was a lousy conditional 6th.

Ya hate to see it.

You forgot the SARC button

I wonder if the plan is to start him this week based on Opeta's performance? I am guessing they might think that moving Herbig back to LG and putting Brown at RG is better than having Opeta in the game. If that's the case, then protecting him makes sense since you don;t want to have him claimed even if the chance of that happening is remote.

And, in Brown's defense, he was dominated by Cambell, who is a freak of nature. So he will probably be better against whomever Dallas has left at DT.

Tannehill too then.

Make it happen.

I’d claim him. He won’t even count towards the two roster spots, he would be an exemption. Put in the claim and see where we are at after the Dallas game with the roster and the corresponding move.

Hey, I protected my statement with that last sentence qualifier for a reason.

Nah... from the Dolphins' perspective, Tannehill is a bust for them.  What happens in Tennessee is irrelevant to them.
