With the trade deadline coming up Alex Marvez on NFL Radio just suggested the Packers should make an offer for Wisconsin kid, JJ Watt.  Interesting proposal, but with his injury issues I wouldn’t offer more than a 2nd round pick for him

I feel like even a second is too much. Conditional 3rd seems about right

baseball bros, looking at hitters' success against each pitcher tonight, who might be the most likely to hit a HR?

I have a 100% profit boost for tonights game. So something like Betts to hit a homerun at +400 and a 100% profit boost seems worth a try.

I dont follow baseball. Is there some stats website that might show who is the best bet to hit against these pitchers historically?

Yeah i bet the odds for him weren’t very good. Frankly this game feels like the rays blow it late when they shouldve had like 3 or 4 runs. Their average with RISP must be like .150 for the series. They’ve been awful.

Probably want a first or a second plus... I'd love to get him. Howard and Slay would be one of the best starting duo's in the league.

I got +750 and won 127.50 on my 15 dollar bet.

They can have Alshon and a 1st.

Didn't he not connect with Wentz until mid to late season?

First I can think of is against the Cardinals. So like Week  4.

Cash probably lost this game for Tampa. This game was going along at a Snell's pace and he gives up a flare to center and Cash takes him out.  He did the Dodgers a favor.

Yup the snell third time through the order nearly cost him in game 2. Got him this game. Add on he brought in Anderson who’s given up runs in every relief appearance in the postseason besides one. He’s had about 8 appearances. Took lessons from the Phillies pen.

John Hightower will get better tracking the deep ball. His hands are fine, but it's hard to catch if you don't know where the ball is.

With his speed, he'll always have opportunities

Just get a new DC after that then you'd be all set.

Definately should have left him in longer.  As a Dodgers fan, I cant complain.  I was thinking before today it was going 7.

Congrats on the title. with the pitching matchup you had a think it was likely going to a game seven. Game seven would’ve had an awesome match up though Charlie Morton who has been pitching really well in game sevens. And the Dodgers with walker buehler. Might have been a classic.

I think the Dodgers would’ve won the World Series regardless If they played 162 or 60. I thought adding Mookie Betts was what was going to put them over the top. Last year I just thought the nationals came in way too hot and had two starting pitchers and then even a third who could be awesome on any given day. It’s why i bet them before the playoffs at the odds they were getting. the Dodgers just ran into the wrong team at the wrong time. Ditto when they played the cubs.

That said the fact that baseball only got in 60 games is insulting. I hate the fact they couldn’t get something worked out for more than just 60 games. that 162 game grind takes it’s toll and it’s a battle of attrition to make it through. I feel like 60 games there wasn’t much of that.  I think you saw some guys much fresher in the playoffs because they’re basically in midseason form Since they’ve only played like 85-87 games. to me Kershaw is one that really benefited from only having to pitch 10 regular season starts. Because that point he’s in midseason form and that’s when Kershaw is always been cy young dominating. It’s when he got to the end of the season and the postseason when he’s pitched all those accumulated innings that he starts having trouble. I don’t think it’s all a pressure thing for him. I just think for years he’s Had innings piling up to the point of where he got to the postseason, he just didn’t have his best stuff anymore.

Commissioner Manfred sounded drunk when he presented the MVP award.  I'm glad the Dodgers won, but we will probably have another covid outbreak here in LA now.  There was a slight spike when the Lakers won. So, he we go again. And, how did they not know that Turner had Covid until the 7th inning? Weird.

Isn't Xavien Howard a 4.58 zone corner? Are we trying to Rasul Douglas all over again?

They get at least a 2nd and probably more

Leave it to baseball to end with a bang

Leave it to baseball to basically f things up. It’s only fitting they could have something like that on the biggest night of their season. Manfred needs to be fired. this whole season from the very start has been such a s##! show for baseball

Manfred is the worst commissioner in baseball history and possibly sports history.  He is a buffoon.  What other commissioner has referred to its championship trophy as just a piece of metal?

Still a brutal look for MLB, but they got bailed out if Tampa had won and game 7 would have had to have been postponed because of Turner testing positive. What a mess.

And Turner was in the dugout close to other players. Then the players celebrate and hug each other...and their wives and kids.  Baseball butchered this. How could they not know test results before the game?  MLB put players and their families at risk.

Yeah Blake Snell is so good.  I figured they'd win tonight and Walker would do his thing in game 7.  Watching this game I kept thinking if they can keep it 1-0 until Snell is taken out then maybe they can score a couple runs on their bullpen.

They should have won in 2017 vs the Astros.  Not even the whole cheating thing but just some dumb moves from Dave Roberts.  2018 Red Sox were just the better team.  But yeah Mookie Betts was definitely the difference maker.

I'm happy to see them win a WS but it still seems weird.  60 game season is way too short.  I dont think these championships this year should have an asterisk but there should be some mention of the circumstances.  Even the Lakers title seemed weird.

I mean he’s an idiot. The fact that baseball had all this going on for months and couldn’t come to an agreement to get in more than the games they played was ridiculous. Then add on with the Marlins and the Cardinals doing what they did  and how they handled it. Then it ends with this tonight. Baseball has been a crap show since spring training. They mishandled everything at every turn.

I felt as soon as they only were going to get 60 games played that they should’ve just not play this season. imo it was ridiculous when you’re only playing a little bit more than 1/3 of your regular amount of games.

Don’t get me wrong I think the Dodgers were the best team and would’ve one anyway but I know 162 game grind is much different than a 60 game season. Like the nationals were awful last year through 60 games. If they only played 60 games last year, the nationals don’t even make the playoffs and the Phillies are the 3 seed. and the Phillies had no business being in the playoffs last year. Kind of like I believe if you played 162 games the Marlins aren’t making the playoffs that whole season.

He got booed really bad.  I thought maybe his feelings were a little hurt and wanted to cry it seemed.

Maybe as far as Turner he tested negative before the game and then maybe someone noticed something wrong with his test and found it to be positive.  Regardless it is strange.

He doesn’t even have the common sense or decency to reinstate Pete Rose, but MLB has no problem employing a scumbag like Mark McGwire.
