For you 76ers fans.

After a few days of rumors and hope, the 6ers made a couple front office moves and he seemed content to be put of the NBA for a year.

I didn't think this was actually going to happen.

Incredible off-season of acquisitions.

Doc, Jorger, and now Morey.

It really couldn't have gone any better. Owners buying their way back in to our good graces possibly?

Let's see them allow these basketball minds to fix this roster.

Can't wait to see what they do.

All Cowboy compliments need to go to CVON.

This is your first warning.

Understood. My view was very conflicting.

I think this is a fair question. It may be out of Doug's hands and if it is, that's a problem.

If they take Mailata out at LT and put Peters in and Peters gets injured or plays like crap then Doug is going to get hounded in the PC

JP didn't force anyone to do anything. He took advantage of a situation where he had a lot of leverage because they had no other option at LT. Now, he has zero leverage. Play RG or get Fed.

No option? They had Mailata. We didn't know he'd be like this but there was always that option from the start

Well he could sit but the reality is that I think he would play OG given Mailata's performance.

I knew you'd be on my as$ because you dont care how muchI sense I make, even though I give you facts, you still want to cause an issue

what I described is the EXACT Brock Osweiler trade. So yes, it does work.

Wrong. Trading Brock Osweiler saved the Texans money. Trading Ezekial Elliot costs the Cowboys money. That's why you don't make sense.

Am I alone in not wanting to move Barnett? I guess a 2nd rounder is good value for him, but I dunno, I like how he's played this year and he's still very young (relatively speaking). The only real issue I have is that he is a bonehead, who takes insanely dumb penalties and seems to try and instigate fights with other teams.

I think he can be extended for a team friendly contract similar to BG’s second contract.

Lol I wonder if Mailata and Fulgham know what they've done to this fanbase

Totally agreed

I dont blame JP at all, considering he was starting at LT in week 1

But now the situation has clearly changed

I would absolutely not pay Derek Barnett market value to put up 8 sacks per season at best. If they feel comfortable enough with Sweat's knee, it's a no brainer to trade Barnett if you can get a nice pick out of it.

I’m getting optimistic with Singleton. Bradley and Edwards, I think, are buoyed by limited snaps, particularly bs the pass. They’re in a position to hide some flaws.

But maybe I’m not remembering correctly and Edwards is playing more passing downs than I think.

There will be growing pains, but I think the raw ingredients for a good LB corps may already be here.  And the irony is that I’m not even sure I can say that about any other position.

Now is not the time to cave into pressure and draft a LB round 1-2 or trade for one.

There are 2 arguments on different sides of the same coin here.

One is that you can’t have 22 pro bowlers, Barnett is a decent player, extend him to a friendly deal.  Another side is that you can’t have 22 Derek Barnett’s.  This team lacks talent, RDE is a critical position in this defense, and we should set the bar higher before doubling our investment in mediocrity.

I would. He's 24 and getting better. Just needs to get over this ankle crap. Get rid of Graham before his contract turns ugly. He's having a good season so far, get max value for him

You asked how it could be done, and it can, and if your the cowboys it should be, and I gave you the blue print.

Wrong again. I asked how tanking gets you out of bad contracts and frees up money. Your answer so far has been do moves that cost you more money. You are all over the place you have no idea what you are even talking about at this point. Congrats.

I don't know why I hate myself so much to do this.

If that's he case then he should let his ego aside and know that the best course for the team is to let Mailata continue at LT

If he's injured then he shouldn't play though

If he can walk he should play. Winning is more fun.

Barnett is contributing this year and is worth the 10M option if he keeps up this level of play.

I wouldnt extend him for top DE money, but if you can extend him at that 10M figure hes worth it.

This team is headed for the playoffs this year. Hes currently, unbelievably against all odds a valuable player for us. You keep him for this season.

Next year if hes not willing to re-sign around 10M then you trade him.
