Just let this sink in...

If Lane doesn't dress, that's 4 out of 5 projected starters on the Oline.  Throw in your RB1, TE1, WR1, and WR2.

But the play calling....!!!

Mailata at RT.  This makes sense, then.  Seriously.

It's amazing what one sack against a starting LT can do

It's because Johnson is out atm and Mailata is at RT.

OK - I can live with Mailata at RT.

Not having the majority of your starters on offense and defense has a major effect on the play calling. And for many reasons but 1 being the new guys don't have complete knowledge of the play book.

Makes sense, JP has only played LT, and only had limited experience at RG in camp.

Mailata was cross trained on both sides, and ironically, his lack of experience may make it easier for him to play the other side (doesn't have the muscle memory to confuse him).

Though that's still a scary OL, now you know why they drafted Hurts!

Doug's a .500 head coach and the scrubs like Billick and Kubiak have SB's.

Doug is 40-30-1 as a head coach.  Reich is 21-17

You mean like last year when they had an average offense

Or the year before when they had an average offense

My guess. they get everyone back healthy and guess what... an average offense lol

You're right.  The injuries just started this season.

Johnson and Driscoll. I figured it would be one of Peters/Mailata at RT in this scenario. You don't really want Pryor or Toth there unless its an emergency.

No, we still don't know why they drafted Hurts.

This now looks like one of those old Reid era OLs with massive guys across the board except maybe a smaller C.

First I was like man, Peters and Herbig is a huge left side! I kept reading and then was like wow! Pryor and Mailata is a YYYYUUUUGGE right side.

That's a little exciting.

Hopefully Mailata can remain productive on the Right.

Might actually be a good week to have a big line.  Besides Aldon Smith, no one up front for them is a speed guy.  They are more a power front four than a speed front four.

I have a feeling goedert actually plays this weekend

Basically. I trust stout and all, but come on now, let's get the kid more reps. He's certainly earned them.

EDIT: just saw the previous tweet that he'll move to RT so Peters can go back to LT. Not crazy about the idea seeing how it affected Dillard, but at least he'll be on the field I guess.

You got to be kidding me with this ish... I'd rather Toth at RT and keep Mailata at LT. I do not want JP taking snaps away from Mailata at LT. Screw JP.

I'd like to see Mailata continue to get reps and develop at LT because I still think he may be the long term solution there. Plus Peters is in and out constantly and didn't look much better this year so far. I understand they gotta put the best 5 out there though.

Chill.  This configuration is probably just for one game.

Either Lane or Driscoll should be back at RT for the Giants in week 10.

It's then you need to ask whether they move JP to RG and Mailata back to LT.

This isn't so bad as it give Lane time to heal and gives a little more stability at guard.

Pryor is an awful OT and still better at guard than Brown or opeta.

Interested to see how Mailata does on the right.

When Lane comes back after the bye hopefully they don't keep Peters at tackle and move him to guard. Replacing mailata with Peters would be a mistake
