Mailata might end up being a swing tackle next year, so getting some live reps at RT isn’t that bad.

UGH

If Lane needs to rest this week, we can probably survive with that lineup.

The way I look at it, Peters and Mailata are auditioning for a starting spot at LT this week. If Peters outplays Mailata, he should be the starter at LT. If he doesn't, let him play guard. I am all for development, and perhaps no one has been a bigger Mailata fan than me, but he didn't look great against the Giants, and the team has to put the best players out there.

Basically. I trust stout and all, but come on now, let's get the kid more reps. He's certainly earned them.

EDIT: just saw the previous tweet that he'll move to RT so Peters can go back to LT. Not crazy about the idea seeing how it affected Dillard, but at least he'll be on the field I guess.

Mailata spent all of last offseason and this TC playing RT. He'll be fine. It's not like throwing Dillard over there cold.

Good point. Hopefully he fares better with it than Dillard did.

If Mailata looks good at RT, then you can really have a no lose with Dillard. If Dillard turns out to be good, then you have bookend tackles for the next 5 years at least. If Dillard isn't up to it, you can put Mailata back at LT and try and trade Dillard, under the guise that you have Mailata and Dillard is expendable rather than Dillard is not good.

Jason Peters...our LT of the future.

Doug has proven he is a good HC ,won a superbowl with banged up team,no 1000 yard rusher,no 1000 yard receiver ,no dbl digit sack guy.

I tend to believe he is doing about as good as one can expect,  with all these injuries.

You can question the amount of talent or lack of but  I  cant see how anyone can say he is a bad coach.

6ers adding Sam Cassell as an assistant coach now too.

doc, jorger, and Cassell is a hell of a staff!

This is incredible. I feel so bad for Matt Ryan.

I would’ve been content if they interviewed cassell as HC candidate. He’s eventually going to get a HC job

It makes you appreciate Brian westbrook being smart enough to do it against Dallas years ago. And Runyan i believe was yelling at him.

 You can see the defender grab and let go immediately. Talk about some reverse psychology. Damn.

Slightly different situation I believe. We were tied or up by 1 I think. The Falcons were down by 2 here. In both cases though, you want to kill clock to ensure you are the team who possesses the ball last regardless.

Honestly falcons should’ve been up 4 in that game and didnt going for it when it was 14-13 with just over 7 mins left. Had a chip shot field goal decided to go for the td.

Found it: https://www.espn.com/nfl/news/story?id=3158572

We were up by 4, and there was more time left in that game, so even more different than I remembered. The worry back then was a repeat of the TB game where they would score and then get the ball again on an onside and score one more time to win it.

It's not in the clip but the funniest part to me is the Lions defenders signaling TD and celebrating. It's the most 2020 NFL play of 2020.

Que up the mailata sucks crowd if he doesn't play well at RT this week.

And getting a real GM

I have a feeling goedert actually plays this weekend

Have to see how much he did today but that would be huge. Goedert/Reagor and eventually Sanders would be a major upgrade. Add them into Fulgham, Hightower and Ward and you got something cooking.

I think it’s always been sanders returns week 10 after the bye. But yeah having those 3 with what we have weapons really shouldn’t be the major issue. Getting seumalo and lane back should also really help. The defense sadly i think we need a linebacker, safety and corner.

Chill.  This configuration is probably just for one game.

Either Lane or Driscoll should be back at RT for the Giants in week 10.

It's then you need to ask whether they move JP to RG and Mailata back to LT.

Just for one game?  That sounds like a horrible idea, unless we are actively trying to set the record for number of OL combinations in one season

Seriously, did they learn nothing from the Dillard-to-RT experiment?

Stoutland is very good but this is absurd.

Only posting because we’re supposedly looking to trade for LBs.
